Where will you travel AFTER this is over?

I really have a desire to visit Canada now. It’s always been on my mind but we’ve never discussed it seriously.

We do hope to go to Puerto Vallarta in November. We have until early October to cancel. I also want to drive to Palm Springs to see my brother.

My point in starting this thread was to spark an optimistic conversation about AFTER this crisis is over. There is plenty of doom and gloom as it is to go around, and nobody knows for sure how this will play out. I expect it will be hard, even bad, but eventually it will be over. Regardless of the current status, causes, or efforts, eventually it will be done. Once life gets back to as normal as it will be then, where would you like to go?

People should be thinking of own country travel. I'm currently on a cross Canada tour. I've visited USA > 100 vacations, every state, there is lots to see, try somewhere different!

As we speak, we were supposed to be on a Panama Canal cruise. Obviously canceled and got future cruise credit. Trip to Nashville in May canceled. That trip included tickets to see the Rolling Stones-tour has been canceled, but we were advised to "hold onto our tickets." We will file a dispute with our credit card company if we don't see a prompt refund. Have a trip to Anderson Ocean club plus 3 overnights with friends in the Myrtle Beach area in late August. We'll see. Our next 2 big trips are supposed to be..wait for it.. a 12-day cruise leaving out of Venice in October and a 27 day Asia cruise in January/February. Not optimistic about those at this point. The final payment is not due on either. one of these as of yet. We also have a week at our beloved Charter Club of Marco in late November.

To our wonderful local spa for a much needed massage​

I will be travelling to the nearby bar to shoot several racks of pool and enjoy cold draft suds. The food is good, the service is slow, and that sounds great to me.

I made a reservation this morning at Majestic Sun in Destin with an arrival date of May 18. I had cancelled a trip there scheduled for April 4 so I’m just hoping this will work but not very confident. Crossed fingers!

We are going to Sedona in 2021 instead of this year. Hoping to go on river cruise in October on the Rhine, Not going to cancel until absolutely required.

You must have seen hundreds of posts and messages from people in USA ignoring science, ignoring advice or continuing to 'hope' things be be alright. Too many in USA are "acting on their optimism" so it matters.

Sadly, many in USA think like you, that what Dr. Fauci says is "opinion".
