When placing an II Exchange Request I see that $239 is charged at the time of the request and that charge would be refunded if II can't match the request.
Can I add Resorts to that Request or do I need to place a second request? Would I be charged another $239 in either of those scenarios?

From what I've read if I have a Marriott week and non-Marriott week and I want to request MVC and non-MVC resorts it's better to request only MVC under my MVC week and only non-MVC under my non-MVC week? Yes, no, insights on this?

TYIA, you are all always very helpful!

You will not get charged an extra fee to change your search parameters.

But yes, best to request only MVC with MVC weeks

It's best to place you ongoing search only for Marriott, Sheraton, and Westin with your MVC week so you pay the discounted $199 exchange fee. Once you add a non-MVC, you'll pay $239 or need to add $40 when changing search. If you ultimately match with MVC, you won't get $40 refund.

Also if II raises fees on exchanges if you expand your searches in any way, you will be asked to pay the $10 or whatever the increase is. As long as you keep it the way it originally was set up when the price was lower, it will continue and you don't have to pay any extra.

II keeps that exchange fee until you call yourself and cancel the exchange. Even if the dates you requested are long past, they won't refund without a call. They should, but they don't.
