Happy Aloha Friday

For over 10 years I have always celebrated Aloha Friday by wearing an Aloha shirt to work. I still do that to this day and when I moved to Hawaii a couple years ago I started posting Aloha Friday pictures /memes on Facebook. My relatives like them and they often start conversations.

Recently I started taking my own pictures and putting the Happy Aloha Friday logo on them. You may see some places you recognize.

Congrats for starting such a fun and popular thread. I retired in 2008, but I don't know how many years before that we started doing Aloha Friday at work. It just shows that it's good to have at least one day a week full of Aloha.

Happy Aloha Friday from Avila Beach CA. Unfortunately I came down with a bad cold 2 days ago. Which has put a real damper on our trip. This is a very nice Resort with beautiful views. They are about 3/4 done with a complete updating. They are now working on the 5th floor. This was a DRI Resort that has been rebranded HVC. The weather has been great. Tomorrow we start our 2 day trip home to Salem. We will stop at the Worldmark in Windsor for 2 nights and 1 day.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! It's Memorial Day weekend. So a long weekend to enjoy for everyone.

Since it's Memorial Day weekend and there will be a lot of BBQ's going, this week's picture keeps us here on Molokai at the Pool and BBQ's here at WaveCrest.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!🤙🏻🌴🌺😎

The OP, slip, is on vacation in the land of paradise. LOL
We are back on Molokai now. I was just late today. 😃🤙🏻

Permanently!

Happy Aloha Friday from the First Coast! It’s been a busy week for me. We’re doing some spring cleaning and re-organizing a couple of rooms and the garage, plus some work I was doing on one of our HOA committees. I’m ready for a long holiday weekend.

These geese and goslings, 4 adults and 13 babies in all, have been swimming by our house for several weeks now. It’s amazing how fast they grow. They’ve recently started walking around the neighborhood and this was the first time I caught them walking by our patio. We didn’t see them yesterday and they haven’t been by so far this morning, which is unusual. We’re now into our fourth year living here and we still love watching all the different birds and water fowl.

Happy Aloha Friday. We made it back to Oahu last night. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Kauai. Beach, pool, hot tub were the only things we did. @slip, we just missed you. I think we departed Oahu at the same time you departed Kauai. Maybe next time...

Since we're back on Oahu, here's a pic of a sunset from KoOlina.

Figures, it will happen one of these times.🤙🏻

Happy Aloha Friday! This is our last full day at the Hyatt High Sierra and we hate to go home! Here is a Steller Jay nesting on top of a patio light on the wall of a unit at the resort:

Happy Aloha Friday from Marriott Desert Springs II (Palm Desert Ca.). The weather the past several days has been in around 90. But it hit 106 F last weekend. We're enjoying exercising in the pool and enjoying the local food. Tomorrow we drive back to Carlsbad (2-1/2 hours).

We just did the exact opposite: driving back from HGVC Carlsbad, where it was cool 60 degrees in the morning today to a balmy 104 at home in PHX this evening... Our lows are in 80s later this week here...
You are lucky to live in such a beautiful place :)!

The weather showed a greater than 50% chance of rain everyday for our week and we only had a couple short showers. Hope you get the same.

Maybe we'll pass each other at the airport, we leave Saturday for our short flights. 🤙🏻

Ditto, on our Hawaii trips!

Love your beautiful travel thread! Thx for sharing your journey @slip !

Mahalo!

Happy Aloha Friday!!! School is out and June is only a couple days away. Time to enjoy the summer time.

This week's picture takes us back to Kauai and the Sunny Southside to Poipu and Poipu Beach. We took this picture a couple weeks ago so you know it will be more crowded than this soon as schools finish up. It's always a nice spot to relax when you are on Kauai.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!! 🤙🏻🌴🌺😎

Happy Aloha Friday!

Think the hike to the top of Diamond Head is a hard one? Not really, 25 years ago my Dad did it when he was 80, and my sister did it using a cane because she was soon going to have foot surgery. If you want to try, start early and take water. It can get hot by the time the sun is high in the sky.

Happy Aloha Friday. We are back in Salem Oregon from our 3 week+ trip to California. Also after 9 days I appear to be over my cold. After a day of cooling and gentle rain we will be back in the mid 80's today.

Happy Aloha Friday from the First Coast. @pedro47 , it’s been a rainy week here, too, with the obligatory late summer afternoon thunderstorms. Wait, it’s still spring! But, it’s mid-90’s and raining every day. Only 4 more months! 😀

This is a special weekend for me. Twelve years ago tomorrow, I walked out of my office for the last time as an employee. I still remember the feeling walking through the parking lot to my car. Retirement. Joy. Relief. Just knowing that I never (hopefully) had to get up, get dressed and drive into work ever again! Nirvana!

Shortly thereafter, we went on a couple timeshare trips with BIL, who was a longtime owner. I then discovered TUG and we bought our first timeshare. It’s been a beautiful relationship. We’ve enjoyed many vacations and I enjoy spending time here everyday with all my fellow Tuggers.

Thank you and I hope everyone has a Happy Aloha Weekend!

Happy Aloha Friday. Last Monday , without a scratch, I was king of the hill. I was asked when I would know to quit this type of climb. I said when my clutch goes out. As soon as I said that I could hear the throw out bearing saying enough for today.

Happy Aloha Friday from the Windward side of Oahu. Weather has been great. It's currently 74 degrees (at 7am). Here's a pic of Chinaman's Hat taken last week when we stopped at a Food Truck for an acai bowl and shave ice.

Is that a St. Paul Saints t-shirt, @artringwald? I need to pull out mine, but it just says "train" in the front. ;) (I know, I know, they don't play there anymore, more's the pity....)

Happy Aloha Friday, where the sun has finally come out for the first time all week just enough to trigger tornado warnings. It's supposed to be beautiful here next week, when I will, of course, be in New Orleans where I am sure the heat index will be 120. ;) Our pool opened last weekend, and I'll end up missing two weeks of pool season between the weather this week and my travel next week (which is for work.) #tinyviolinplayingjustforme
