Not much we can do about weather. We have plenty of plans that are not weather dependent so we'll be fine. A couple good days would be nice. Kim wants to get some golf in.🤙🏻

Happy Aloha Friday. Had a great week back. Nothing out of the ordinary this past week. It's been raining quite a bit, but mostly at night (thank goodness, cuz I need the sun for my PV panels -- have batteries for night time). Electricity went out a few times this week in our area, but we didn't notice :)

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Last day on Kauai. Tomorrow we head back to Molokai and leave all this traffic behind.

This week's picture is from here on Kauai and is a common one for anyone who has went to Bubba's Burgers in Kapaa. It's nice to sit and watch the traffic go by as you're eating your Big Bubba Burger.

Happy Aloha Friday from Carlsbad CA. This is our last day (2 weeks) Grand Pacific Palisades. From here we travel to St Luis Bay Resort at Avila Beach. For those that do not know LEGOLAND is across the street. Costco is a long Block away. We have had a good time. If you come here and want to go to San Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari. What we did is Bought 1 Senior Yearly Memberahip. This includes unlimited access to both during the week. It also included Free Parking at Safari, one free Guest Pass, two 50% off Guest Passes, and 10% off anything bought inside. Parking is free at the San Diego Zoo. Also the Coaster is a small train that runs from Oceanside to Downtown San Diego with several stops including Old Town San Diego. There is free Park and Ride at the near by Poinsetta Station. The cost for 2 Round Trip Senior Tickets was $13. We used it to go to Downtown San Diego and Old Town San Diego.
 
Happy Aloha Friday from the First Coast! Summer has arrived early and with a vengeance. It’s going up to 96 today and will be in mid 90’s for the next 4-5 days. Who am I kidding? It’s May 16th. There’s 5 more months of this! 😓☀️

Happy Aloha Friday from the windward side of Oahu. Yesterday, DW and I found a last minute 6-night short-stay available at Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club starting tomorrow (Sat - Fri). So...we're hopping on a short flight tomorrow to enjoy next week on Kauai. I'll have to work, but we plan on just going to the resort and chillin' for the entire time. No rental car, no plans, no problem. Weekend weather looks decent, but a chance of rain M-F (<50% all days but 1).

While we won't see it this trip, here's a pic of the Napali Coast...

The weather showed a greater than 50% chance of rain everyday for our week and we only had a couple short showers. Hope you get the same.

Maybe we'll pass each other at the airport, we leave Saturday for our short flights. 🤙🏻

So many times on Kauai, it's been raining in Lihue, raining in the valley, and sunny in Poipu. Twice we've seen rainbows that lasted for over an hour because it was raining in the east, and sunny in Poipu. Hope you have great weather.

On Wednesday it was 85 in the Twin Cities. This morning it was 53 degrees and very windy. At least when it's cooler, the azaleas last longer.

Happy Aloha Friday to y’all, too!

I’m happy because we just booked our first trip back to Hawaii since 2016. We had one planned for 2020, but we all know what happened then, and our long-distance travel has been somewhat curtailed in recent years. But anyway, Kilauea has been erupting recently, and I’ve been sending reports to my 99 year old dad, who loves Hawaii, especially the BI. And he offered to pay all expenses for DH and me, if we’d take him along! So here’s hoping Kilauea is still putting in a show in October.

Happy Aloha Friday from Marriott Desert Springs II (Palm Desert Ca.). The weather the past several days has been in around 90. But it hit 106 F last weekend. We're enjoying exercising in the pool and enjoying the local food. Tomorrow we drive back to Carlsbad (2-1/2 hours).

I don't think it's the oldest but it is positive. I just noticed we are at 99,000 views. We should break 100,000 soon.
