It’s a beautiful, but cool 54 degrees here in St. Augustine today. So, from the First Coast of the Atlantic Ocean to the real U.S. West Coast in the Pacific Ocean, Happy Aloha Friday!

Happy Aloha Friday from sunny Northern California, where I still have peppers growing and flowers blooming. If the peppers don't freeze back, I'm going to trim them back and see if they will winter over. We are expecting rain tonight so I planted some lettuce and spinach today, so the rain will water it in. Mr. DeniseM was released by the surgeon yesterday, and is making an amazing recovery from his open heart surgery (5 weeks ago) - now the hard part is keeping him from over doing it!

That's great news Denise. It's a great way to start out the new year. He will learn to rest when he needs to.

I was thinking of you today as I was riding my bike in Kapalua. Actually, I was sitting on a stationary bike in the MN gym, and on the TV they were playing golf at the Kapalua Golf Plantation Course. I don't know if it was live or recorded, but it was a gorgeous sunny day and you could see Molokai from the course. I don't like watching golf that much, but I do like watching scenes of beautiful golf courses.

Kapalua is where on Maui that we can see from our lanai.

I started golfing Tuesdays and Thursdays at Molokai's Ironwoods Golf Course. Great views but the greens and fairways aren't as nice.

The trailer on the left with the window is the clubhouse. And then we have the Shaka Glove on the Fifth Tee.

The first time I went there, I didn't go until after 2 PM. I was afraid they wouldn't have any left. Silly me! The line was still out the door, and they were making more as fast as they could.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! All our roads here are cleared off and drying out after our winter storm. Hopefully, that will be the worst one of the season.

This week's picture takes us back to Maui and the beach in Kihei by the Maui Schooner. We came upon this Honu resting on the shore during one of our walks. Sounds like some snow and cold back on parts the mainland. After you come in from the snow, you can warm up and relax just like this turtle on the beach.
