artringwald, I am watching CBS Morning News and they were showing the blizzard conditions in the midwest. Please be safe and stay indoors.
It always snows the day you have something going on.Happy Aloha Friday - 39 degrees here.
Rain expected again this weekend. Of course snow expected Tuesday when we have dr. appt. in Manhattan . Hoping it will change!!
Happy Aloha Friday!
Winter has finally arrived in the midwest. Snow starting tonight, and sub-zero highs expected Sunday and Monday. We need some winter here to help appreciate how nice Hawaii weather will feel when we get there.
Please define cold in the Land of Paradise (Hawaii)? LOLThe cold has hit the PNW. I'm kinda cold in Hawaii too. I'm wearing long sleeves and jeans today but I can't see my breath so all is good enough. Some one will probably shafaka me for saying that, lol. Happy Aloha Friday.

Twins Cities shouldn't get much snow, but will get some nasty wind chills. Fortunately, we don't have to go anywhere anytime soon, and we have wood for the fireplace. Tonight we'll probably watch our favorite travel video.artringwald, I am watching CBS Morning News and they were showing the blizzard conditions in the midwest. Please be safe and stay indoors.

It's a VHS tape, released in 1986. I was able to digitize it and make a DVD out of it. It has beautiful video, music, and narration. It's certainly out of date because many of the places to visit aren't there anymore. The black sand beach south of Hilo was overrun by lava, Waimea Falls Park used to feature cliff divers, Kodak used to have a Waikiki Hula Show, and sadly, Lahaina used to be a popular destination. We watch the video every year shortly before we go.

My wife is still always cold. She has the lanai door closed and has a sweater and a blanket on right now. It is down to 73 in the condo today. The cold has hit the PNW. I'm kinda cold in Hawaii too. Great lanai view!Happy Aloha Friday!!! We finally seem to be out of the rainy storms for a while. The forcast is showing some nice sunshine for the weekend and temps back into the 80's.
This week's picture takes us back to Kauai and on a lanai at the Pono Kai. Kauai Beer Company in Lihue has a nice variety of craft beers that make it worth the trip the next time you are on Kauai. They have some good food there too.
Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great weekend!!!

I think you'll find crowds anytime of year, but your choice of an island to visit will certainly affect how big the crowds are. Honolulu and Waikiki have the largest crowds by far. Maui can get crowded in the resort areas. The east coast of Kauai is also congested. It's much harder to find crowds on the Big Island, because... well, it's big. As Slip will probably tell you, you can't find a crowd anywhere on Molokai.Aloha Kakahiaka: slip and artingwald
Pehea'oe?
The Commander-in-Chief and I would like to visit against The Land of Paradise either in October or the first two (2) weeks in December 2024. We need to stay two (2) consecutive weeks in a (2) bedroom villa.
One week maybe would be taking The Pride of America cruise ship around the various islands.
The second week would be totally R&R on one of the Island.
Which would be the best time to visit Hawaii.
We need to avoid heavy crowds.
Mahalo.
