Happy Aloha Friday!!!! Another great Thanksgiving is behind us and now the Christmas Season is upon us.

For this week's photo, we stay on Molokai and go to our famous Hotel Molokai. Hotel Molokai has been a staple on Molokai since 1966. It contains Hiro's Restaurant and Molokai Outdoors Activities.

Enjoy and have a Great Aloha Friday and an Awesome weekend.

We love watching sunsets in Hawaii. Occasionally we'll get a good one in Minnesota like we did the other night. From our house, we had a pretty moon rise in the east, and a splendid sunset in the west.

Happy Aloha Friday from cool Folly Beach, SC. This must be the dog capital on the East Coast. Dogs are everywhere, however, they are the best manners and trained dogs; that I have every been around in my life span. Plus, the locals are some of the nicest people I have met in South Carolina In over thirty (30) years.

Aloha Friday!

When visiting Oahu, we like staying at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. Two oceanfront restaurants, Duke’s and the Hula Grill, are in the same building. The neighboring resorts, the Royal Hawaiian and the Moana Surfrider, also have nice oceanfront restaurants. Across the street you’ll find the new version of the International Marketplace, which has a slew of overpriced fine dining establishments. We also like staying there because you can grab a lounge chair by the pool to watch the sunsets, as we were doing in this picture with all the other sunset groupies.

We don’t have future plans to stay on Oahu yet, but I was thinking about it after listening to Jimmy Buffett’s “Duke’s on Sunday”.

It snowed here last night. First snow of winter. I'm not liking the cold weather much anymore. My niece removed the driveway snow so that's a plus for today.

Happy Aloha Friday!! It's now December and all the lights will start brightening up our nights.

This week's picture keeps us on Molokai down at the WaveCrest pool. The Cabana was decorated on Friday and the lights are up for everyone to enjoy in the evening.

Enjoy the Holiday season!! Have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!🤙🏻🌴🌺😎

It's great to see the Aloha Friday Spirit is Alive with the Hawaii Group!!!

Tomorrow is the Christmas Light Parade here on Molokai. Right after last year's parade, Kim decided she was going to be in this year's parade.

She put together a lighted outfit with lights on her shoes, pants and her head. She will carry a lighted basket with small containers of Bubbles to hand out to the Keiki.

She has been excited to do this all year. The parade route is about a half mile so she should be good to walk the whole route. I think she is kind of celebrating being able to do stuff like this again too after all she has been been through the last few years.

So last night we were making the Bubble water and filling a few hundred little containers.

That's why I was a little late on my post but it's awesome to see it carry-on in my tardiness.

Mahalo Nui Everyone!!!shaka

That's one thing about living at a resort, we always see people down by the water in the morning to watch and take pictures of the sunrise.

It's always a good reminder to take some time and enjoy the little things.shaka

The snowbirds are starting to return here and it's starting to get busier with renters also. When I was at the Wharf yesterday I saw the whale tour boat was back in the water also.

The busy time of year is almost upon us.

Happy Aloha Friday!! It's the first Aloha Friday of October. Fall is here and we even saw some pumpkins for sale in the grocery stores here.

For this week's picture we will stay close to home. Well, we will actually stay home. This weeks photo is from the Cabana here at WaveCrest on Molokai. WaveCrest was built in 1975 on just under 6 acres of land. It's a small complex of 128 units in three buildings that are each three stories. The Cabana is a great place to whale watch in the winter and it has great views of Maui, Lanai and Kaho'olawe.

Enjoy and have a Great Aloha Friday and an Awesome weekend!!! shaka

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Yesterday was Pearl Harbor Day. This year marks 82 years since that attack. Never forget.

This week's picture takes us to Maui and Palapala Ho'omau Church where Charles Lindbergh is buried. Lindbergh spent his last years on Maui as an author, Inventor and Environmentalist. He died on August 26 1974 at the age of 72. We went to see it many years ago and he picked a beautiful place to be laid to rest.

Enjoy, Have a Great Aloha Friday and an Awesome weekend!! shaka

Thanks for the picture! A couple of days ago I was up in the middle of the night and was looking at Orion. It made me think that soon he will follow us to Hawaii and we can watch him there.

And BTW, Happy Aloha Friday!

I just got my first real telescope 8 months ago and started Astronomy. Here's a picture I took with a cheap telescope camera and my telescope of M42, The Orion Nebula. shaka

Hey Jeff-

Can I see "The Southern Cross" from here? I'm not even an astronomy amateur status. I just love the CS&N song. ( hence I used it in my St. John power point slide show I made.
. Skip to 4 min for the song ) There is one mistake in my video, but I haven't fixed it & unless you're familiar with St John, you won't notice.

I love that song. I also love this song which mentions the Southern Cross.

I always wanted to see the Southern Cross, but since we usually visit Hawaii in the winter, I was never motivated to get up around 2 AM when my planisphere disk said it would be visible. Then in 2007, when we were staying at The Point at Poipu, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw it from our bedroom window. shaka

For those who never heard of a planisphere, it what we had to use before smart phones had nice apps for stargazers.
