Anyone playing wordle?

A 3 for me. This time I got a chance to use my oft thought of second guess.

I use 'X' as a placeholder for unknown letters, so placing the X between the O and I, plus my lab background , made me think of TOXIN.
Was thinking of TOXIC too, which would have been even better.

A four turned into a five early this morning.

Another day, another four.
As I was looking at my PHONE, I realized I had never tried it as my starter, so, I did. And got the N. GRANT added the a and BLAND the L. At this point, I thought of CLANK and FLANK. FLANK steak is not my favorite but it is food so I tried it first. Another ho-hum four.

I'm on a roll of threes!
Happened to choose the right rhyme today.

I blanked on BLANK as an option, thinking first BLAND GLAND. FLANK steak on a cedar PLANK was more appealing. However thinking outside the grill, LOOFA was a letter fitting backstop so tipped me to my FLANK side.

I broke my string of fours. Not in a good way. Five.
TRUCE gave me a R and U. SHRUG placed the R correctly. My cats told me to try FURRY. They’re still laughing at me. MURKY? Nope. BURLY? Finally.

I had one consonant in the wrong spot at the beginning, and then chewed up and spit out “good letters” twice more still leaving me with the one consonant. Then I got a vowel on my fourth try. Then I stared at it in dismay, took my walk, came back an hour later and got it on my fifth try.

And another six!
No play by play today. Took too long to solve it. Hard to think of FROZE when it’s 100 fricking degrees!
