Hmmm. Very interesting that after your first two tries struck out, your third word closely rhymes with a certain four letter word.Four. I am on a total roll with my starter words. No hits again. This time, none on my second word either. Remarkably, I almost got it on my third entry (fourth letter wrong), which allowed me to finish off in four.
Me too.Four. I am on a total roll with my starter words.

I got all 4. I didn't understand the last group, and had to google homophone (after getting it correct, lol). Only got it right because those were the only 4 words left. Fun, yes, I would play again.New game in beta stage at the NYTimes. You can click from the article below to give it a try. Like the author of the article, my first shot at the game did not go well.

Are there casinos close by? I am not a gambler, however, would definitely be tempted at this point to find one. Maybe put all your money on 2 at the roulette table. I googled to check, that would a black 2 for you!Two-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral
This is my third deuce in the past week. The gods are setting me up for a humiliating fall!
I was trying to change my letter pattern up this morning and get back to searching for consonants. I thought of CHILD and went with it. The C in first and I in third position actually narrowed down the possibilities quite nicely. I couldn think of any words where another vowel would fit in second position. The L and H were already off the table, so it almost certainly had to be R, leaving me with CRIxx. In the heat of the moment, I could only think of CRIME and CRIMP. I settled on CRIME and was correct. I just thought of CRICK and CRISP. I’m glad I didn’t think of them sooner or I probably would have went with one or both of those before CRIME.
