I got off to a slow start but finished strong. We’ve had a couple good thunderstorms the past couple evenings and things outside are wet and SLIMY. That did get me anything. Looking st the vowels remaining, I saw OA and thought BOARD. Much better! I just need the first two letters, xxARD. I could only think of two words, GUARD or CHARD. Fortunately, the gods must not like green vegetables any more than I do. On GUARD!

I noticed several of the 3 somes had letter 'G' in their 1st or 2nd guesses. I thought coincidental since G is not a very common letter.

I took a risk and it paid off. My second deuce in past three days.

Someone pointed out above that G is not one of the more common consonants and since it was in yesterday’s answer, I hesitated to use it again today. But, the starter word that came to me this morning was ARGUE, and I wasn’t in the mood to argue about it. So, I got the R in correct position and a G for the second day in a row. My thinking was the G was likely either the first letter or the last. In searching for letters starting with G, WRONG was the first word I thought of. I hesitated since W is even less common than G. Using both this early didn’t seem like a good move. But, it was in my head and wouldn’t leave, so I could only be WRONG. But, I wasn’t!
