I do not. That would be boring to me so I try to think of a new starter word every day. New day. New Wordle. New starter word.

The Wordle gods hopes of feasting on my frustrations and anger dissipated almost immediately. I could hear them wailing faintly, as they shuffled away.

After guess 1, AVAIL was the only word I could think of. I was sure I had overlooked something, but perhaps not.

How many times have I thought 'aha - the QU'? Thinking how smart I am. Only to fail. The wordle gods must not like the letter Q.

I was able to CLIMB out of bed this morning and find an L and I out of position. I started to bank them for five new letters but decided to see if they ended the word. PERIL found my hunch was correct. UNTIL seemed like a good Wordle but I tried it to no AVAIL.

Four for me. I was trying to choose between two words on line three. As it turned out, both were wrong. (Both started with the same second letter, so I eliminated both at once.) Back to the drawing boards to get it in four.

Not just you Dave, but to be fair, it was impossible for you to get it in 3, when in try 3 you didn't use all the letters you had already found.

Agreed. My third guess was to try and establish other vowels in the word, since my first guess netted me zero, and there was only one in the second guess. I knew I wasn't using every letter from the second guess, but it did show me the first letter, that the letter was repeated in the word, and where they both fit. Made the fourth guess pretty easy.

My larger point was that it seems I'm getting most of these in four guesses. My statistics are very four-centric, (if that's a word.)

A relatively easy three today, which means no sustenance for the Wordle gods.

After guess 2, the word needed to be xIOSx. KIOSKwas the only work I could find that fit.
