Another 4. Pretty good considering I got zippo on my first and 2nd guesses.

I actually thought of using "shirt" on 2nd guess but didn't since I had already r/o the 'T'. :(

Got it quickly in Four today. Could have been three, but another case of multiple choices for the starting letter.

Four

I picked SATYR because it had the last missing vowel, as well as testing for S, T, and R - three very common consonants. SATYR was a good choice; the only possibilities I could come up with after SATYR were TASTY and PASTY. I thought I sensed the Wordle gods salivating, as they though they might have landed some prey, but when I decided to go with TASTY I knew they were slinking away, while yet hoping to snare a savory treat from another player.

Five here
My last pick in the list of rhymer's... My brain really wanted to put an E in several of these words
The misspelling of tasty by Will.i.am in the second single from Fergie's debut album, 'Fergalicious'. T to the A to the S-T-E-Y, girl you tastey. by jacobjacob

Four for me.
It’s very rainy and SLICK here this morning. Just an out of position S. I went with DEPOT to help find supporting letters but only came up with an out of position T. There are about 8,763,468 words with S and T so I’m struggling with what to do. Instead of using the S and T, I keep searching with HUMAN. An out of position A. Sheesh! So, it’s going to be that kind of day, huh? The E is out but I keep trying to include it. I think of TASTY but I set it aside and keep trying to think of other words. After a few unproductive minutes, I circle back around to it and breathe a sigh of relief as the blocks turn green. I need more :coffee: and maybe a .

5 today. Too many ending options after my 2nd guess, and I chose wrong.

Hasty, pasty, tasty, raspy, waspy(?),
and mashy were my options.
I went with raspy to r/o the 'p' words,
pasty and waspy.

Took me five today. Very frustrating because I put a letter in the same place on my second word that I knew was not in that place. I wasted a turn.

Then you would have to use satay in a sentence.

Doesn't satay have something to do with Asian cooking? The term "satay chicken" comes to mind. ?

As Dave had said, satay is an Asian marinated skewered meat.

Two!

After ALIEN, gave an out of position I in space 3, I figured the word probably had another vowel. So I was trying to find a word that used L, I, and N in new positions, and that also had an O or U. I thought that UNxxx would be a good starter, and from there I saw UNLIT. Wasn't expecting to solve - still trying out letters. To my surprise, UNLIT was right.

Afterward I realized that UNTIL would have also worked, so I guess I'm lucky that I saw UNLIT before I saw UNTIL.

A four for me.
I felt a little tricked by the wordle gods today. Thinking of course you would pick UNTIL before UNLIT. Who would think of UNLIT first - and then I came here and saw @T_R_Oglodyte's solution. :ROFLMAO:
Although it was then a no brainer to get to UNTIL, I was a little 'hmmmmf'.
