Anyone playing wordle?

Four. Much like two days ago. Almost nothing after two entries, but that eliminated a fair number of letters. Took me two more to hone in on the correct answer.

An extremely lucky 4 today.

Sigh! Five. The Wordle gods are apparently pissed again! I would have bet a nice bottle of Woodford that my third guess was the solution. The gods would have enjoyed it very much.
I was entering STRAP and changed it to STRIP because, why not? The vowel didn’t matter as it was neither. I moved the R and search for a couple different vowels with CLEAR. Good choice! Got the starting C, plus E and A out of position with the R. I tried the E, A and R in the second position and when I saw that CADRE worked, I just knew with 100% certainty that I had a 3. Wordle can be ao humbling. Or, the gods can be so cruel! Anyway, back to the drawing board, I see that CRAVE, CRAZE and CRANE all work. CRANE? Nope. CRAVE? Finally! I was crazed and craving a victory.

Crashed and burned. First three letters correct on my second word. That gave me five shots at the remaining two letters. Five words using those first three letters and all of them turned out to be wrong.

Four

After guess 3 I took stock and came up with the following possibilities: CRAZE; CRAVE; GRAVE; GRACE; GRAPE; GRAZE. At first I wanted an elimination word that had C, V, and P, but I couldn't come up with anything. So then I looked at the possible solutions, and decided that CRAVE was a good choice, because if it wasn't correct it gave the most hints for what the correct solution would be - at worst it would eliminate everything but GRAPE and GRAZE, and with two guesses left I would be able to solve.

A very fast 4 this morning.

Three today.

Still doesn't make up for yesterday. I know that I am being "crank(y)" (second word) but how many words can you "cramp" (third word) into five spaces all starting with the same three letters. As a result I "crash(ed)" (fourth word) and burned. I wanted to "crawl" (fifth word) into a hole. What a "crazy" (fifth and last try) game. ( All told, I managed to find ten wrong letters that could be use to complete the first three letters without one of those letters being correct.)

Today's effort...
