hat is not necessarily the worst thing in that your options for a correct word slim down as you eliminate a lot of letters.
Correct. A word that bombs isn't truly a bomb. I saw an example one time of where someone input three words, none of which had a hit. Guess 4 was the answer; after all of the eliminations in guesses 1-3, there was only one word that could be made from the remaining available letters.

Patri -you know it couldn’t be a word with two of the same letters you kept using ? you would have both green (or yellow) if the word had two.
Darn it. Of course I know that. I guess I was so fixated on the lack of vowels.

,A fortunate ,4 for me.
I was not sorry at all for going thru all the
remaining letters ,& rhyming words before hitting the correct starting letter.

A little coy wink at one of the Wordle gods, and I landed in three.

Three. Feels good to be back with the smart kids after a subpar week.
CLAIM popped into my head and I was trying to think of a new starter so I went with it. L in 2 and I out of position. I thought the I had to go in position 3 so after thinking of several words, I tried BLIND and confirmed the I and ruled out 3 more consonants. It took a couple minutes of touring my keyboard but I finally hit on FLIRT and it felt so good to get a three again.

Yesterday, the four's had it. Today is a big day for three's. (I like to use different opening words. Today's word gave me a "big" start towards my three.)

Four.

Methinks they've been too passive for several days. I expect them to come back in force soon.

I got a five after a not good start.
As I was pressing PLAY to start the game, the word PLAID flashed through my brain so I had to go with it. Only an I. Which was better than GROUT which returned nothing. I moved the I and tried the E with MINCE. Three tries, one letter. This isn’t going well. I figure the Y is needed but I’m short on options. As I’m perusing my keyboard, I see that JIFFY will work and it actually seemed like a good Wordle solution. It helped by getting the ending Y and the F had to be the first letter. So, I’m down to FIxxY. FISHY it is.
