Three today.

After guess 2, the possible solutions I had were MOUNT, COUNT, and YOUNG. I almost went with YOUNG, on a hunch, but then I realized that if YOUNG was wrong, that wouldn't tell me whether the solution was COUNT or MOUNT. So I switched to COUNT instead. Sometimes it pays not to follow hunches.

Four. Meh.
I found the starting C with CHAIR. I immediately thought CLOWN but I didn’t want to go for it so I decided to try WOULD to check for the W but also for a couple vowels. Good decision as WOULD got the OU following the C. I immediately thought of COUPE and tried it to no avail. I looked around my keyboard for a few seconds and saw COUNT. Honestly, I thought COUPE was a better Wordle. Stupid Wordle gods!

After ALIEN, the word has to be xAIxE, and there are three possibilities: WAIVE; MAIZE; RAISE.

So eat WORMS, Wordle gods, and reveal to me a missing consonant that will tell me which of the three is correct.

A fast 3 today. Not bad for a late night session. Or early morning, however you look at it. :D

A fairly quick, but not easy, four.
I spent a little time trying to come up with a new starter word but it was wasted time as SCOLD got me nothing. THYME yielded the ending E and an M. I tried GRAIN next just searching for anything and found A and I. After playing which letter goes first for a minute, I hit on MAIxE which quickly became MAIZE.

Four. My problem was trying to figure out what could go into the third and fourth slot after my opening word. Took me three tries.
