Abound contest

I won the towel, so hoping it arrives before end of the month. I’ll post a picture. But envious of those winning the 500 club points.

I'll transfer 50 points to your account for the towel + 15 points for shipping charges!

I've won mostly more contest entries, but early on I won 1,000 Bonvoy points twice and yesterday I won either 500 Plus Points or a little over 11,000 Bonvoy Points.

I recall when the contest first started, it would never say you were a winner if all you got was additional sweepstakes entries. Now is says you are a winner every time, even if all you get are additional entries.

Everyone is a winner! Those are participation trophies.

We got a couple of MVC beach towels while at WKORV last month (MVC Sales Stay).
Nice. Light green - and of course with the MVC logo.
Goes well with our WPORV beach towels that we got as an Owner gift back in 2011 when they gave out cool gifts.

Probably the best gift we got at a presentation was this cooler, which we still use once in a while. Also received at WPORV (probably around 2009).

It's seen better days...

For years they gave useful gifts to owners, stuff that probably didn't cost them more than $10 but was useful. Nice bags, insulated bags for drinks, etc., clear bags (the kind you can take to stadium events where bags have to be clear), and more. After the Marriott acquisition it devolved to really cheap bags that probably cost them a dollar or less, and now I don't think they give you anything at all. Lucky I have a large collection of gifts from the old times.

Every once in a while they will hand me a deck of playing cards.

Amazingly, I've never gotten the playing cards.
At SVV this week they pulled out a sheet of coupons for the onsite food and beverage after I agreed to a presentation. I suspect if I hadn't agreed, I wouldn't have been given them. They won't be used anyway, so it doesn't matter.

I have a couple of those… I received them as an owners gift without any presentation! :)

Still just 1 daily sweepstakes entry for me. Don’t take me to Vegas with you….

I just discovered that I can get sweepstakes entries and play the game on both the Marriott side and the Vistana side. This only works if you own both Vistana and MVC and have logins on both systems.

You're behind the times, many discovered this back in week one. If you have multiple sign ins, say for you and your spouse. Both can also play.

Entering from both Vistana side and Marriott side (or from multiple accounts) appears to violate the contest rules. I don't know if it's going to be enforced or not.

"Multiple Eligible Entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Eligible Entrants must not create and use multiple/different email addresses (if applicable), identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods in an attempt to obtain additional entries and game plays, and any such attempt will void that person's plays/entries (as outlined above) and that player may be disqualified"

I did see this a while back. I don't think multiple accounts would be an issue as long as there is a real person behind each one. But the question about using the same email address that may be tied to both your Marriott and Vistana accounts could be in question.

I didn’t have an MVC account until this week, which is why I just discovered it. ;)

I do not believe I am violating that clause. Both of my accounts use the same email address, and most importantly, I have not created either account for the purpose of gaining additional entries. I have both accounts by necessity and they are both legitimate.

And for many of us, we had the multiple accounts prior to the contest.

I received this nice beach blanket when I checked into Westin Nanea last week. This blanket, a reusable netted bag, a box of chocolates, can of macadamia nuts, and a bottle of wine. It wasn’t a contest win but it was a really nice touch for checking into WNA! All on an Interval Exchange. Westin has always been a step ahead.

Actually I just discovered that I can play three times each day.

Once using Vistana link, when signed into Vistana.
Once using MVC link, when signed into Vistana-MVC account (accessed via Vistana dashboard.)
Once using MVC link, when signed into MVC account directly on MVC website.

I think this will only work if you own both MVC and Vistana properties (and maybe only if you have elected CP on at least one Vistana VOI.)

How do you find the contest link once you click through from the Dashboard? The MCV site when accessed through Vistana Dashboard seems very scaled down and I don't see a way to access the contest from there. I have both Vistana and MVC and have points in our account, but not from electing VOIs.
