View from the HGVC or bHC Balcony

We again got our balcony request at W. 57th (I think this is like 3 consecutive successes). While walking east on W. 57th, mrs. brp took a picture looking back. So, now I'm going to add a "View of the Balcony" for room 2104.

This would be a gorgeous view! - I have reserved this category of room - but have not been placed 100% of the time on the floor with the balcony - kept once and it was the balcony facing to the south. The room category states the floors "15-24" for the premier 1BR. I believe these balconies are on the 15, 21, and 23rd floors.

Yes, that is correct. I actually asked this time and was told that those are the balcony floors, IIRC. We were the Studio Premier (STX) on 21. And I had just learned on this trip that there are south-facing balconies. I had thought that they were all 57th view.

We've had this room before and I've posted views here previously. The one thing I noticed for the first time this trip is that, if one goes to the eastern edge of the balcony, leans over and looks back, one can see the Empire State Building.

Cheers.

I never realized that either, but here you go, on the 21st floor.

That was a 1Br+
That was a 1BR Plus? It appears to have a balcony and I thought that those were only with the Premier rooms. I know that's the case with the studios (only STX has balcony). Is that not the case with the 1BR where a very few of the Plus have balconies?

Cheers.

It was a 1Br+(1603), that balcony you can see in the picture is the 1BR premier on the floor below.

Yeah, looking again, I can see the the balcony railing is too low in the image to be yours.

Cheers.

do all the 1br premier have balconies?

I think only 2 on the 15th floor? Maybe also on the 21st floor, but I thought those were for the studio premiers.

No they don't. Most of the units at W57 do not have a balcony.

There are 1 bdrms on the 21st(?) floor courtyard side. That was a 1bd Premier because we paid for it via Open Season and usually take the nicest unit since all prices the same for 1 bdrms.

The 1 bdrm balconies streetside are ADA (or at least one of them is if I recall correctly.) You can see the streetside balconies on the image that @brp posted in #451

Is the balcony on the 24th floor Penthouses shared? I believe that is the view they show on the W57 main site.

I know that the two W. 57th view balconies on the 21st floor are Studio Premier (2101, 2104) as we have stayed in both. I don't know about the 21st floor backside balconies.

Cheers.

I have not been able to enjoy the views at West 57th, but all the rooms at that property are very spacious. The smallest unit, studio plus, is 355 sq. ft. - so much more spacious than the other New York properties. But I do like the locations of the others.

I really wish there were detailed floor plans for W57th, but I have never come across any.

We probably have enough information between everyone here to make a crowdsourced floor plan room layout.

Based on the information just in this thread, it appears that the W57th balcony rooms are:
15th floor 1 BR premier (possibly ADA?), 21st floor north/streetside Studio premiers, south/courtyard side 1BR premiers, 25th floor shared penthouse balcony (between all 4 units?).

If someone wants to put something together, I would be happy to add it to our Sticky for West 57st.

Well, we could do a section on balconies. We could add what we know as we get data. So far:

21st floor: Studio Premier balconies: 2101, 2104; 1 BD Premier balconies: 2102, 2103 (I think we're pretty sure about this).

Cheers.

21st floor: Studio Premier balconies: 2101, 2104; 1 BD Premier balconies: 2102, 2103
added. Anything else, just let me know.

The construction floor plans are at Tab D of the 2nd restated public offering statement. It isn't as well labeled as the ones for The Quin; you have to look at the typical floor plans for the unit types to decipher what the individual units are. Here are the pertinent pages:

The Crane, Barbados. 2br with plunge pool.
28000 HGVC points, but booked via RCI for 7680 points.
Curious. How did you get such a great deal? I understand you have to call CS to book Crane and that you can save HGVC pts to RCI, but haven't done it before. Your deal sound amazing!!
