I think the question was, which hurricane cause the resort to have to close.

Oh okay. Duh. I wasn’t understanding the question. Yeah Ian in 22.

Destroyed most of the timeshares on the island. Many are not open yet and a few are not coming back at all.

One of my favorites is completely gone which was LaHaina. That was a wood structure that looked like it was in the South Seas. Very kitschy but very 1960-70s. It was a motel turned TS. We had been going since the 70s.

It looks like a mile of sand to get to the Gulf. Not sure I like that.
Actually, the white sandy beach is quite nice. The entire beach is not that wide - only the section in front on Seawatch and some of the neighboring buildings. And it’s very walkable. Before the storm, spoonbills congregated on beach. I’m not sure if they have returned. Shelling is fantastic. Seawatch is actually a hidden gem - small and relaxing.

From everything I've heard, it totally sucks. No one should go there...

Cheers.

W. 57th, room 2101. This is something like our 5th consecutive time getting one of the two STX balcony rooms with a prior request. Not sure why we keep having this luck.

As long as you're not here when we are, that's cool :)

And that is just what we did today. Up to and around the reservoir before meeting our niece for lunch near her workplace at Bryant Park.

Cheers.
