View from the HGVC or bHC Balcony

...why bother balcony of 1701....
I agree with this assessment of the balcony for 1701. About the only thing I can say that unit has going for it would be that it's the only accessible 1 BR PH at The Quin. (There's also only one 1 BR Premier+ that's accessible, 807, and no 1 BR Premiers.)

Just a thought, 💭 ALL of the 01 rooms would have this same view sans a balcony. Egads!

It varies. The lousy views for the floors below are typically for the vanilla studios (xx03, xx04, and xx05) and one studio plus (xx02), which is replaced on 16 with the base for the 17-19 elevator. There is a studio premier plus in the back corner (xx01) and a studio plus or premier in the middle (xx06), but they wouldn't be obstructed by the pipes. The room layouts for floors 4-16 are all pretty close to the same except for a couple of rooms that are set aside for hold over tenants on 8, 14, and 15.

I can understand the comment your wife made about the rooms with no natural light (01-06)

its the VIEW - but from a DRI/HVC room! 3BR Penthouse room 6303 at the Cabo Azul.

the balcony is 4 rooms wide, the main suite has a gigantic day bed - unseen
the 2 chaises sit outside of the living room, the table and chairs are placed in front of the stationary dining room window, and a quaint couple of barrel chairs outside of the second bedroom.

@h2oflyboy Nice room! Love Cabo Azul. Hope the weather is great.

We are booked for a "3 BR Grand Penthouse Ocean View" (emphasis mine) in 2026. Do you know if that unit type is different than your 3 bdrm penthouse?

Nice. We have that booked for next April

The “Grand” is the same room size, but the balcony includes a jacuzzi.

Weather is a gorgeous 75°

Next year I booked a 2BR OF, and a 1 BR ocean. The total points was under 14,000 for my M-F stay.

Thanks! Cannot wait. Do you know where in the property those Grand units are located?

I own here, and you’d think I would know this info, but alas I do not!

I went to the front desk to find out some facts.

11 3BR Penthouse
4 3BR GRAND Penthouse

TOP floor of building #1, 2, 6, and 7 Are the location of the GRAND PH & all on the 6th floor of those buildings.

BUILDINGS 1 & 7 have more direct ocean views - no obstruction, there are 3 floors 3rd-5th that are the 3BR PH.

Good info, thanks. We have the 3 bed grand penthouse oceanview next April and it should be nice

View attachment 107855Somewhat sad view from MarBrisa.

Thanks for the photo but why are you calling this a somewhat sad view at MarBrisa?

I actually like this view. Which building offers this view?
You're not looking at the back of a building, alleyway, dumpster, parking lot or another balcony.
You have privacy, a green landscape with a road off in the distance (vs right below your balcony).

…additional info about Cabo Azul. The pool opens at 08:00. I got down to the pool at 7am, all the pool chaises next to the pool were taken, at 7:30 the front desk sent a text, chaises left unattended for :30 would have the items removed and placed in lost & found. 12 chaises in front of me have been left unattended for more than 1 hour 30 minutes.

I’m a by the rules kinda of guy, and if you text me the rules but refuse to adhere to them, I’m gonna beat that dead horse.

another stunning day albeit with some cirrus clouds in San Jose del Cabo, not Cabo San Lucas.

Thanks @h2oflyboy for going to the front desk for this very helpful info. I really look forward to my visit next year.

Would it be possible to post a photo of the resort layout map so we know where each building is located? I didn't see a sticky on this resort.

Not - the same size. Grand is 500sq ft larger

Please add this excellent resort map to the TUG Resort Review DB.

Thank you for the suggestion. That appears to be a worthwhile resource for someone to add pictures and maps to. The map I posted was in response to a request by a fellow tugger - I was able to fulfill the request by running a very quick internet search that found another good resource for resort maps; I think it was something like resortmaps.com or the like. I have no objection if someone that wants to maintain this resource on TUG2 were to copy the image I had copied from the other internet site and add it there. Similarly, the requests that have popped up in other forums for the same copying of images to that database could be accomplished as easily as asking the original posters of the images to do so. (See, e.g., https://tugbbs.com/forums/threads/hyatt-windward-pointe-key-west-resort-map.372674/.) As for doing it myself, at this point I have neither the time nor the motivation to move the image as I don't really consult TUG2 when I am looking for resort maps but do appreciate the suggestion.

Maybe it's just me, but this thread seems to have drifted a fair bit from pictures from rooms/balconies (and discussion of those pictures) to discussions of the resorts themselves (which have other locations) and stuff like that.

Perhaps this thread should go back to focusing on the from-the-room sorts of pictures? Just a suggestion.

Cheers.

= Post more updated details re resorts in this thread (which is fairly dated info, for many resorts, currently)

+ keep this thread for pics from balcony etc...
TY!

IDK, just wasn't that impressive to me - but maybe it is good for MarBrisa? It was building 59 unit 5921a/b.
