Tommy Bahamas beach chairs available at WKORN

I went to Nanea Nanea today as planned and had a photo of the claim tag. Unfortunately, the chair and umbrella were gone. The bellman told me that after 24 hours they donate anything left with them.

I had bought a new chair to add to the bundle and am happy to pass that along when we leave KOR on Jan 5.

Please let me know what now becomes of the schedule.
@jnsywg Thanks for trying to get the bundle today. I agree with @Ken555 that WKORV-South is probably a better bell desk to leave bundles at in the future. It probably also depends on the employee at the time. Glad to hear that they said that they donated the items.

It looks like the calendar is wide open after you leave on January 5, so unless someone else is interested in the chair, there isn't anyone to pass it on to. You could leave it in a building lobby for another guest, or drop it off at the bell desk for them to give away/donate, or take it home with you. Thanks again for trying to save the bundle!

Denise L - I had participated in this Tommy Bahama chairs & umbrella as late as Feb of this year but I understand that for some reason, it got discontinued. I now see that it's back up again but don't know how to access the calendar anymore. We'll be at Nanea week of Feb. 16 thru Mar. 1 so was wondering if these two weeks were available. Let me know what I need to do to get back into the calendar. Thanks.

@aland0524 - The current bundle of one chair and one umbrella was 'donated' (no longer available) by Nanea a week ago, so now there is one chair available (thanks @jnsywg ) starting on January 5. However, since no one is currently reserving the chair for that date, it is highly likely that it will also disappear. The calendar already has others (@Tucsonadventurer and me) reserving what was the bundle (now a chair) for your dates, so we wouldn't be able to add you if the bundle was still in circulation, anyway.

Bottom line, Bundle #3 will not exist past January 5 unless we find someone to chair sit from then until January 19.

I will probably buy new items on Maui in late February if none are in circulation, and those would be available on March 9.

Denise L - Thanks for the update. I may also buy couple chairs and umbrella when i'm there (Jan. 26 thru March 1) and can "restock" the available inventory so to speak...your taking ownership of this "pass it forward" program is much appreciated!

For those who were hoping for chairs, The Snorkle store has a half price sale for rentals for as long as you need. I payed $50 for 2 Tommy Bahama chairs for 2 1/2 weeks. There is no time limit on rentals. It must be on line though.

Well I am back on Maui an have two brand new Tommy Bahamas beach chairs to add back to start a new chain. We are leaving on Friday, Feb 9. Someone tried to connect with me about taking the, but I seem to have lost the thread for them. So two, brand new, Tommy Bahamas beach chairs are available to pass on this Friday. We are staying in WKORN and will leave them with the bell station.

PS. I am the person who started this whole chain . Glad folks are still using it to pass on chairs.

That’s great! I hope that it works out and that the chairs can start circulating! We are there starting 2/24 if the bundle still exists. I plan to pick up an umbrella and a chair if I need to, or could add an umbrella to this bundle.

I'll be there friday afternoon, I will send the kids up to the north and see if they are still there, unless somebody else claims them first. thank you. This will be the third time I've made use of this wonderful practice.

We'll be at WORKN Feb 17 - Feb 29--is the calendar accessible again? Would love some chairs and/or umbrella if available.

We just turned our two chairs, umbrella, fins for 1 and cooler in (we depart WKORV tomorrow). It was about $115 for everything for two weeks. I adore that place, have been renting there for some time. I still have the snorkel I bought from them 10+ years ago (it doesn’t get as much use as I would like).

@dlpearson , were you able to get any chairs or umbrellas from @Moparman42 (if they were able to get the chairs that @gregb left at WKORV-N on February 9)? Wondering because we arrive on Saturday and if you had something to pass on, we could use items when you are done with them.

i checked at the north concierge and they had nothing. I assumed somebody beat me to them since I wasn;t actually on the schedule.

Hi @Denise L , we ended up cancelling our trip (VERY last minute--about 12 hours before we were to leave for the airport), so we're not there/don't have anything, sorry. Nothing tragic; we rented our unit last minute, and since we had refundable airfare, decided to skip this year's trip. Very sad not to be watching whales, though.....

@dlpearson , Glad to hear you were able to rent your week out last minute. I hope to see a lot of whales soon!

Don't worry you won't miss much, they do the same old tricks time after time. Jumping out of the water, slapping their tails, frolicking with their offspring. I wish someone would teach them to stand up paddle board or do something more creative ;)

I have a couple of short chairs, not easy to climb out of, and an umbrella. We saw some umbrellas in hallways at Westin over the weekend. Saw an umbrella laying on the ground by the pool at Nanea last night during our walk.

Does anyone have chairs and/or umbrellas and are leaving in the next day? If not, I’m going to rent in the morning The Snorkel Store. It is just interesting though how you can buy the Umbrella for $19.99 at Costco right now, and they rent it for $25 (But with the traffic, driving to Costco right now ad-hoc is not worth it). Last time I bought chairs and and umbrella and just gave it to the front desk for a local person to have.

They have a half price sale going on now so the price is reasonable.

Picked up a rental today. They are very friendly (They always have 50% off equipment, their business model is similar to other retailers, using "high-low pricing" / "promotional pricing strategy," to stimulate demand with the perception of discounts).

Aloha, we have two chairs and an umbrella available on 3/8 or 3/9 if anyone happens to be here at WKORV-South and needs them. I don't see anyone on the Bundle #3 calendar to pass them on to.

Pretty sure that's illegal, lol... you can't advertise "50% off!" unless you do it less than 50% of the time so that it's truly 50% off what is the normal price. You are probably right that they are doing that – but somebody ought to report them to the FTC. :p

What's impressive is that there is no time limit so for those that are there for a month or longer it's a great deal. Don't pay online though as they had no record of our payment and we had to repay. We were able to find our credit card records and it seemed like that happens frequently from what they said. They refunded us but if we couldn't find our records it would have been double paying.
