Isn’t it less expensive to just buy at Costco or elsewhere instead of renting for a month?

It was $50 for 2 chairs for the month but we saw them at Costco on sale for $29 each. Typically though they are are $39 each. We were trying to support local businesses so used The Snorkle Store
 
We arrive 03/17-04/01. Wondering if any items circulating still? Looks like there was a gap in the calendar so not sure if bundle 3 still circulating....
We are a family of 6 otherwise and will be stopping at Costco on our way in and can start a new one!
 
I didn't realize that The Snorkel Store had changed their rental time limit. When I rented from them last year (2023), the limit was 10 days but apparently, it's now however long you stay. We just got back from Maui and had been there for 5 weeks so had I known this rental time limit change, I would have leapt at the opportunity! I know the website now says - "for your ENTIRE stay" - but given my previous experience, and that most visitors probably stay only for around 1 or 2 weeks, the 10-day limit was not as attractive as this new version! I think they are a great outfit with awesome staff and we've been renting from them for quite a while. We stay in MOC-Napili and they are in such a convenient location. The free Shave Ice coupon for next door also is ono!
 
Aloha, we have two brand new chairs and an umbrella that could use a home on 11/16 (pass off night of 11/15). Anyone planning to be staying around WKORV-South and needing these items for an upcoming stay?
 
Hi, we're arriving on Saturday the 16th, staying in South - would love to have these and will definitely pass them along when when we leave. We probably won't get to the resort until 5:30pm. Would you be willing to check them, or leave them somewhere we can find them?

Just talked with a local today who would like the chairs and umbrella, so I am going to give them away on Friday afternoon.

@svntug , Aloha, the local I met won't be able to pick up the items on Friday after all. I can leave these for you at the South bell desk if you PM me your full name. I know that they don't seem to hold items for very long anymore, so I will try to drop them off very early on Saturday morning. Hopefully, someone will want them after you leave. Post here when they will be available and maybe someone will chime in.

We will be arriving on the 23rd so might be able to take them if they survive that long.
 
We check out on the 30th, so if anyone will arrive on the 29th or 30th I would be happy to pass them on. I'll try to post again closer to the date if nobody claims them.
 
If the bundle lasts until 2/22, I'll gladly give them a home for two weeks :cheer:
 
@svntug , I was able to leave the items at the bell desk tonight. They wanted my last name, not yours. I texted you a photo of the claim check and a photo of the items you should be picking up tomorrow. Here are the items:

We arrive Dec 1 but this trip we will be at Hyatt Kaanapali Residence Club . We saved our SOs for June. If you think that will work we would gladly take them

Posting here so we can follow the trail of the beach chairs and umbrella: We really enjoyed using them this past week, thanks again @Denise L . I checked them this past Saturday afternoon, texted an image of the ticket the bell hops gave me to @daviator , and I think he now has them.

We did get them – thanks, @svntug ! I’m hoping someone is arriving on or around the 11/30 so I can pass them on again. @Tucsonadventurer , if nobody staying at WKORV or ORVN steps up I can leave them for you and you can swing by and pick them up.

We were able to successfully get the chairs left overnight at south. Is anyone here Fri or Sat the 6th or 7th? We leave the island early Sat morning. It would be great to keep this going!

I'm embarrassed to ask--I've lost track over the years whether a calendar still exists (and how many chairs are still in the active rotation). We'll be at WKORN Feb 8-22. Is there still an online calendar/a way to sign up for a potential reservation?

No calendar. They are reluctant to hold chairs overnight but if both parties tip well they will often keep them. This is a fairly new rotation with 2 chairs and an umbrella. I'll see if I can get creative to find someone but these 2 weeks in Dec are the slowest weeks all year we were told.
