New scientific paper: offshore wind turbines alter marine eco-system, could shift ocean currents

Norway uses Natural Gas to produce about 1.5% of their total electrical output
I consider that a rounding error
But I was wrong in my statement about Norway not using Natural Gas for electrical generation
Norway has an abundance of hydro resources, so around 90% of its power generation is hydroelectric.

As to natural gas, reports this week show that Norway has signed a contract to reopen three gas fields in its share of the North Sea gas region, to supply Germany and the UK. Too bad the UK government is allergic to more development in its own North Sea gas and oil fields. They are too much into "NetZero".

And Norway will close those fields down when Putin goes broke and starts begging the world to buy his Natural Gas again

Russian has the world's largest reserves of Natural Gas

No European Country is in the top 10
Not even Norway

Currently the top 3 are embroiled in various wars and are not shipping anywhere near capacity
When they do come back online, the world will have plenty

Europe is trying to cut back on their dependence on Natural Gas

I see you will ignore the statement about Australia and batteries
I guess you really don't understand how this all works

This is what happens when there is an abundance of natural gas and demand begins to slide

Current Market Context

  • Henry Hub spot price: $2.77/MMBtu (May 6, 2026) TRADING ECONOMICS.
  • Monthly average: $3.04/MMBtu in March 2026 Macrotrends.
  • Year-over-year: Down ~23% from the same period in 2025 TRADING ECONOMICS.
  • Futures: NYMEX natural gas futures have eased from late 2025 highs as supply outlook improves TRADING ECONOMICS.
Summary: Since January 2026, U.S. natural gas prices have trended lower from late 2025 highs, settling in the low $2.70s/MMBtu range in May, driven by strong domestic supply, reduced winter demand, and seasonal cooling. Winter spikes remain possible if weather conditions tighten supply.
