New interval international getaway confirmation without Marriott confirmation number [merged]

Perhaps they are having issues generating and/or sending confirmations? The Marriott confirmation number is between the unit details and guests that can check in on the PDF confirmation so perhaps there is an issue on their end properly generating the confirmation PDF certificate. I also tried to resend some confirmations to my email and neither one came through. So it leads me to think they might be having issues creating the PDFs and delivering them.
I checked into Marriott last Friday and was told I had 2 reservations. There was no info in my Bonvoy until I attempted to check in, then it posted. Marriott told me I made the reservation last October through Interval, but I didn’t. Then they told me I booked it through my Marriott Vacation Club account, but it did not show in my Bonvoy account. Then I was told that Interval International exchanges do not post to Bonvoy because II is not allowed to have your Bonvoy number. After the 3 card Monty dealer was done with me, I lost a week.

I am confused. Did you lose a week or did you lose a week of elite night credit?

Okay. I was just confused as I would consider the Bonvoy Credit Card site to be Chase.com or perhaps the Amex site. Marriott.com really doesn't have anything to do with the credit card.
Bonvoy is Marriotts site for booking and reservation information for Marriott rewards and Vacation Club. But it is not accurate. Exchanges through Interval do not post to Bonvoy. You can’t rely on Bonvoy

Actually, to be more clear;
  • Marriott.com is for making reservations for Marriott hotel stays with cash or Bonvoy points. You can also book MVC resorts here with cash or Bonvoy points. This is also often referred to as the Bonvoy site.
  • MarriottVacationClub.com is for making reservations using your Marriott Vacation Club ownership. These reservations will also show up on Marriott.com under My Trips.
  • Chase or Amex websites are for managing your credit card.
While confirmations through Interval International don't automatically show up on Marriott.com under My Trips, you can usually add the Bonvoy number to a reservation from II if you have the confirmation number.

What week did you lose? A deposited week? What does your interval history show? Most of us are lost on what specifically happened.

I had a getaways stay through ii in May and after multiple communications to both the Marriott resort and Bonvoy reps they have still not added the week stay to the Bonvoy account. Every time I speak to them they say it should appear within a week, now over 2 months. How do I add the Bonvoy number through ii, is it possible to add it after the reservation is completed?
There is no way to add it through the II website. Prior to your stay you need to add your Bonvoy number to the confirmation through Marriott.com. Once the stay has ended, there is no way to get the credit except through a missing stay request or Bonvoy Customer Care.

From what I can see, there doesn't seem to be any pattern as to why certain confirmations contain the number and why others don't.
That seems to be the case. The latest exchange confirmation I received from a few days ago did not have the Marriott confirmation (where previous new format emails did). Calling into the Vistana trained II agent department, the first agent said there is no Marriott confirmation number, "you only get the II exchange number", put me on hold to check and proceeded to dump the call. The second agent knew exactly what I was looking for and gave me the number easpy peasy but then also said while they have the number, it's not included in the Interval confirmations (past or present). Sighhhhh

Sorry, I meant to ask, did you call Vistana OR II. There is a Vistana desk at II and then there is Vistana Owner Services. These are two different companies. It sounds like you did call II.

Correct. There are II agents trained to handle account owners with Marriott ownerships. There are II agents trained to handle owners with Vistana ownerships and then there "general" II agents. I called the two II toll-free lines for Vistana trained and Marriott trained agents that are supposed to know how to handle these specialized ownerships.

The sigh was to reflect the significant drop in quality of trained agents over the years at II

I think you would do better emailing the II TUG Members Mailbox to ask for the Marriott.com confirmation number.

Kudos to I.I.. Since I recently received a confirmation without the Marriott reservation number, I emailed I.I. and asked where I could find the number. I received the Marriott res. number immediately in a reply from I.I.. They must still be working on getting the glitch fixed... No need to call!

Processed an II exchange today and received the e-mail confirming the exchange which included the Marriott reservation number. The exchange I processed on August 5th did not include the Marriott reservation number so it looks like they have fixed the issue. I did resend to e-mail the August 5th reservation which still did not include the reservation #.

I am not sure this confirms the issue is fixed. The presence of the confirmation number seems to be kinda random.

I E-plussed a week today and it did not have the Marriott reservation number. I also resent an old confirmation (that had the Marriott reservation on there before) and the new confirmation sent also did not have the Marriott reservation number

Same here on three confirmations. One an AC and two retrades. No Marriott confirmation number on any of them.
