MVC Los Suenos, Room 2411. Very quiet location. MVC pool is fantastic, not as heavily used, but great shade from the trees in the afternoon. A nesting pair of Yellow-throated Toucans have been making visits.View attachment 92048View attachment 92049View attachment 92050View attachment 92051

A pair of these in the trees by the balcony this morning. Could not get a good photo of my own. http://gustaviatex.com/blog/2019/10/8/costa-rica-bare-throated-tiger-heron

Two weeks ago 1st photo out our window at the Custom House, 2nd photo from the observation deck.

Lucky you.
VERY familiar with those views. Harbor views are nice, North End views are also nice, but we favor the the southward view (your photo #1) which are beautiful.
The "true south view" is awesome too because of the tall buildings which are lit up at night and offer a very romantic setting for that evening glass of wine
following dinner in the North End.
(Pairs well with cannoli, which we pick up walking back to CH!)
We love Boston and have been going to Custom House for 10 of the last 13 years,
always mid-October except for two early December stays to experience the holiday season which is so much fun.
Weather cold? doesn't matter, we actually adore that.
Appreciate the great photos!

We went a few years in a row in the mid 2010s, as a Select owner, we would book the week, usually around Marathon week. One year we stayed in one of the Eagle suites right under the clock. Weather wise, one year it was high 60s-70s, the next it barely got above 60. Since it is on the harbor, the ocean breeze can really drop the temps. Also, one can't depend on seeing what Bostonians are wearing to indicate how many layers to stay warm. This trip was an Encore trip, worth every penny. Our 3rd annual Encore trip, the previous 2 we were at Pulse NYC, and then Marriott Marquis. We sat for the presentation, very low key which we loved. No intention to buy anymore, happy to take some perks in exchange for 90 minutes of our time ;)

Checked in today at Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club. First, picture is a view straight out from our balcony. The second one is turning your head hard right. If you look real hard, you'll see a strip of ocean above a roofline. I can see it as I'm 6'1". One of my guests, who is 5'2", cannot see it. Yes, we used Club Points to book an Ocean View room! The front desk, knowing this really is not an "ocean view" room, offered up on its own to move us in a couple of nights to a room for which we will actually be able to see the ocean.

So it looks like they overbooked ocean view? Did they offer to compensate you the difference in points?
