HGVC legacy owners upgraded to MAX

is it possible to get another channel(?) under 'Timeshare Resort Systems'?

the reason i had in mind was that the questions and related answers can be different for that group. a thread is generally for one topic/question, where what i'm calling a channel is to group similar questions. that's my viewpoint at least.

we have separate 'channels' (not sure if that's the correct term here, maybe it's actually forums) for hgvc and diamond, but not for legacy hgvc that are also MAX. one more combination would people that are legacy DRI that are also MAX.

not a big deal either way, was just thinking it might make for clearer flow/grouping of info.

i'm thinking about doing a zoom to let folks see real-time availability in MAX.

i'm an HGVC legacy deeded owner, that upgraded retail into MAX. i've been disappointed in availability at MAX properties, but would be happy to share my screen and answer questions, or do searches.

i'm thinking to do this on a saturday or sunday in the afternoon, EST.

comment, react, or DM me if interested, and i'll schedule it.
 
I would think questions related to HGVC that are in Max should just be posted as new threads in the HGVC forum here on TUG. I don't see any need for a new forum for something like this.

How about posting a video on Youtube and link it here or post screen shots

There could be interest, just not a lot here. You would be surprised how many people could be searching "HGV Max" on YouTube. Some of my videos about Max get thousands of views. Pretty much all from people not on TUG.

I am very thankful for those like you reporting real data on HgvMax booking inventory into HVC side. The fact that you (and certainly others) are stating it is good enough for me. I don't need to see the video but I would certainly welcome you doing the video. It could be a reference for someone new asking about if HgvMax is worth it.

Thanks for this. It would have been nice to see the general availability right at the 6 month point to get an idea of the “maximum “ availability.

is that an easy thing to see? i don't navigate in a way that yields that view.
 
I got a ‘free upgrade’ to Max. I already paid for AI in 2024. Is there any reason to buy AI in 2025?

In the resort calendar availability view,, either enter in dates ~6 months ahead, or scroll forward until you get to the point of “out of reservation window”, as if you were looking to walk a reservation.

don't know really. don't feel jealous: i have not seen one resort i'm interested in - except Embarc, which has no availability.

But if I can save a little on my club dues...

annual club dues are higher, i think, for MAX. but booking reservations (and cancelling) is free.

2024 Annual Club Dues
HGVC-Domestic/International $209 (5.03% increase)/$235. (0.43% increase)
By Hilton Club-Domestic/International (w/unlimited reservation) $354 (8.92% increase)/$354 (5.38% increase)
HGVMax. $299 (6% increase)
 
If they charge you as “Max”, then they wouldn’t charge the normal/AI dues? One would think.
