Hola. Just turned down 'opportunity ' to pay $25 to move our 12k us collection points to cabo collection. Told our maintenance fee would drop from $2400 to $1800 this year and likely never go up whereas US will go up 5% or more per year. We will recoup the $25k in less than 10years and be proud to be owners in cabo collection. Sounded like a 'fishy' way for salesperson to score $?? Any comments. ? Wife really tugged my wallet because these promised (not in contract beyond year one)way lower maintenance fees would be passed down to our children

We stayed in Cabo Azul 5 years ago with our DRI points, and it was great, but for a decent 2 BR unit, it will take all your 12k points for a week. So for your initial investment PLUS $25k you'll be able to book a few months earlier that regular DRI folks who can book 10 months out. Doesn't sound like much of a bargain to me! Tip: Never believe a sales weasel. Your MFs will not decrease.
