HELP needed re: “Upgrading” into Sheraton Flex (from Vistana Cascades Orlando)

The following is from the Flex FAQ (see link below)

Are Flex ownerships mandatory or voluntary?

Flex ownerships are voluntary, meaning that membership in VSN (and thus the ability to book with StarOptions) does not transfer on resale. However, a Flex resale purchaser is still entitled to use HomeOptions to make reservations at any of the Flex resorts in the group they own, based on availability in their particular Flex trust.

For example, a Westin Flex ownership that was purchased from the developer can book at the eight resorts within the trust starting at 12 months. If made within eight months, the reservation would be a StarOptions reservation and could be made at any of the 24 Vistana resorts.
In contrast, the Westin Flex owner who purchased resale could only book at the eight resorts within the Westin Flex trust and would not be able to book at the 16 resorts outside of Westin Flex with StarOptions.

Rescind immediately using USPS Certified Mail first thing tomorrow morning. Make sure that you (and anyone else) who signed the Contract sign the rescission letter. Mail it only to the address for rescissions in your Contract. After that take a deep breath and wait until you have verified that your deal has been undone, Pay the $15 and join TUG. In the interim spend a month or so reading TUG posts after which you should have a good idea what course you might want to follow...

Are there any good options to get out altogether?
thanks!

YES! First you need to rescind your new flex purchase!
once that settles, Vistana has a free deedback program you can take advantage of. Go to vistana.com/exit. Do a search on tug for vistana deedback to learn more. They take back almost all domestic annual timeshares that are fully paid off.
You can be out of it altogether.

Don’t throw good money after bad with this $18,000 flex purchase. Much later after you think about it and see if it fits your lifestyle , you can buy Sheraton flex resale for close to nothing, possibly even free.
