Happy Aloha Friday

Please tell us you did not build that rock wall.
My back started to hurt just looking at your summer project. LOL

It was a fun project. I started last spring by cutting down all of the tree's and moving the St. Mary Grotto. There was a lot of dirt and rock moving involved. I opened up the hill behind my son's home which presents next springs project. I'm thinking small shop on the other side of the road for spring. I'm thinking maybe another garage on the side yard for spring. Later this fall It will be grass growing time.

The one thing I figured out by seeing some of my friends die before 70 is when they retired they had nothing to do and I think this was a factor that caused their deaths. Boredom and inactivity isn't good for people that were active. I saw on Facebook another one of the guys I hung out with died last week after turning 67.

I can understand your philosophy. I also liked to be busy seven days per week. I'm 78 and I cut my front lawn that is a 1/4 acre with a self propelled lawn mower (twice per week ). However, I cut my back lawn that is a 1/2 acre that slope into the wetland with my John Deere tractor.

You must keep the body and the mind active. IMHO

I'm 75, and I like to bike... weather permitting.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Thursday's trip to Oahu went well and the timing worked out well. I hit some traffic in the morning but everything went well and my next Doctors visit will be a tele-visit.

This week's picture is from our Oahu trip and takes us down Lewers Street over to Waikiki Beachwalk. We took a short walk down Lewers one night and they had the Tiki Torches lit on a beautiful evening. Plenty of stores and restaurants to check out in the area. 🤙🏻

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!🤙🏻🌴🌺😎

Happy Aloha Friday from Salem Oregon. Tonight we are having a low below 60° for the first time in several weeks. This means I could open up the House (only the 2nd floor windows) to cool off when I went to bed last night.

Happy Aloha Friday from The First Coast! We’re going down to central Florida today to spend some time, and money, at Disney Springs and have lunch with our DD. Then we’ll return to sit in front of the tv and watch college football all weekend. Roll Tide!!!

Jeff, I’m glad your recovery is going well. Take care!

Happy Aloha Friday from Seattle. It's currently 63 with a high of 79. Headed home this afternoon after a great week here.

While not the famous entrance road pic, here's another great road pic from Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden.

Happy Aloha Friday. My 2nd grand daughter & family closed on a nice house this week. They are in their late 20's with two young kids so quite the accomplishment for them. They were able to keep quiet about the entire deal until after closing so most family members were surprised. My wife & I knew. It's a nice three bed rambler with a really big landscaped lot a couple of blocks away from a really nice park. This week I've been puttering around their place fixing things and figuring out how the place works with the great grandkids as little helpers.

Happy Aloha Friday from The First Coast! That’s a beautiful view, Jeff! One of the things I like most about living here is the cloud formations. Most of the year, you can look up and see beautiful shades of blue, white, gray, red, and orange. Earlier this week, I was sitting on my patio and looked straight up and saw this high blue sky with wispy white clouds. I was mesmerized for a few minutes.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Happy Aloha Friday !!! Big house warming party tomorrow. We were asked to bring the beverages. I don't know why they leave me in charge of this because my idea of a good time beverage is Coors Light. Off to Costco for beer, wine and water.

We did end up giving Roxy to a fantastic multi-generational family. It was a tough give. Roxy was our first talking dog. I was told that Aussie's are talkers and in this regard she held to her breed.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Fall is definitely here. It's getting a little cooler at night. It's getting down to the mid-70's at night but the Packers are heating up. Go Pack Go!!

This week's picture takes us over to Maui and to the top at the lookout at Haleakala. It looks like the surface of Mars up there and it's definitely cooler so it you go up there bring a coat.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!🤙🏻🌴🌺😎

Happy Aloha Friday from Coastal Virginia. Slip, That was an exciting game last night and the best team won. NFL fans remember this is only the second year with the new Washington coaching staff and team players. They are growing in experience and team play. IMHO.

Washington is going to needs a consistent field goal kicker.

Happy Aloha Friday. We always drive to the top at least once for Sunrise when we visit Maui. We bring gloves, sweater, light jacket, and knit cap. We do it on our first morning. On one trip my Baby Brother (we were in Hawaii for his Son's Wedding) showed up for the drive at 3am in T-Shirt, sandals, and shorts. Patti got him a blanket off one of the beds. He admitted he should have known better as he hunted and worked at high altitude in Colorado. We have also gone up during the day to Hike down into it and gone up for Sunset.

Happy Aloha Friday...

I had an accident of my own making this week. I had my Jeep in neutral and it took a ghost ride with me hanging onto the bumper. It's now a beer drinking story that changes depending on who is telling it, lol.

Happy Ftriday.
Coming from Worldmark Leavenworth Wa.
2nd floor overlooking ballpark/soocer field, hot tub outside our window.
Skipped the presentation so far.
Wife is working from home today.
Smoke is clearing from wildfires, 80 degress despite being in the mountains, nice!

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Fall is in the air but the temps have been holding steady here. Upper 80s during the day and mid 70's at night.

This week's picture keeps us here on Molokai and from our lanai early in the morning. Colors in the sky have been awesome in both the early morning and at sunset.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!🤙🏻🌺🌴😎

Happy Aloha Friday. It's been smokey because of wild fires and wind shifts but typical fall weather has finally set in.

Happy Aloha Friday from The First Coast. It has been a gorgeous week here in northeast Florida. The temps have been down in the low-mid 60's in the morning for much of the week and in late afternoon, there has been a welcome cool breeze coming off the lake. It just doesn't get much better. I'm really looking forward to the next few weeks of fall, which is my favorite time of year.

Have a great weekend everyone!

he should have known better as he hunted and worked at high altitude in Colorado
but HI is tropical!
I know a cyclist from Calgary who rides many spring gravel rides around Calgary. He said the coldest he has ever been on a bike was a ride down Haleakala when the weather worsened and he wasn't dressed nearly warm enough. 30 mph wind chill adds up or subtracts down. Plus, you can go thru multiple different cloud levels when you start at 10,000 ft
I've ridden to the top of Halekala, but never ridden down. The ride down doesn't sound like fun to me. wind chill. White knuckles. What view? Get your fill of view at the top. It always amazed me people paid to get delivered to the top with a bike and then sent down ... and at least one of them died every yr it seemed.
