Happy Aloha Friday

Happy Aloha Friday!!! We are having a great week on the west side at Ke Nani Kai. We have a super late checkout so we will be here into Saturday evening before we head home.

This week's picture is from Kepuhi Beach Resort overlooking Kepuhi Beach. I stopped for a quick picture while we were heading out to pickup friends at the airport.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!🤙🏻🌴🌺😎

Happy Aloha Friday from Seaside Oregon. Yesterday we drove from Salem to Seaside for our Annual November Trip for the Stormy Weather Arts Festival in Cannon Beach. We avoid the Freeways and drive cross country on the small Roads. It takes a bit longer but the drive is beautiful. We have been doing this for about 20 years. Sometimes the Weather is so nice we wear Shorts and T-Shirts. Not this year. Though Saturday the Weather is suppose to be mild. We have also been here when the Wind almost blows you over, flooding, and the Power goes out.

We are in a 3 Bedroom Ocean Front Penthouse on the 5th Floor. So if the Weather gets really bad we can watch the Ocean and Beach from our Unit. Check in was pretty painless. We were able to get additional Key Cards and Parking Passes from the Front Deak. Did not have to deal with the Concierge. Though Patti wanted a Wrist Band vice a Key Card so she had to see the Concierge. Though it was a pretty painless 5 minutes.

Happy Aloha Friday from windward Oahu! It's currently 73 with a high of 83. Clouds and rain have been off and on, but we had more sun than I expected this week.

This week's pic features Pali Puka. It's not too far from the Pali Lookout.

Happy Friday from Northern CA: It is very LOUD here this morning, because I'm getting a new garden window in my kitchen, and they are hammering the old one out!

Happy Aloha Friday.

My Covid project is growing nicely. These Tiger Eye Sumac tree or bush are really showy and pretty easy to take care of.

Happy Aloha Friday from the First Coast! We have always gone to Vilano Beach because that is where we lived when we first moved here. Today, I decided to come to St. Augustine Beach. I love it! Great beach and pier and the weather is just fabulous here ahead of s cold front that will dip the lows to near freezing next Tuesdsy. Brrrrrr! But today, it looks like this.

Happy Aloha Friday from the upstate of South Carolina. Sunny and low 70's next two days. Then winter arrives Sunday night. Mid 20's. High of 40 Monday.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! We can definitely tell winter is coming. It's been windy and rainy for over a week now. Hopefully the winds will die down and we get back to more sun. 🤙🏻

This week's picture takes us back to Oahu and to Waikiki at sunset. The sky was on fire during this winter shot towards Waikiki Beach.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!🤙🏻🌴🌺😎

Happy Aloha Friday!

Nothing beats a Hawaiian sunset, but we do get some nice ones in MN too. This one was taken from our lanai, I mean deck. 😁

BTW, I did get some pictures of the amazing northern lights, but by now everyone should be tired of looking at them, so I won't share them.

Happy Aloha Friday from Salem Oregon. Yesterday we returned from our week at the WM in Seaside Oregon. We had several days of good weather but also windy and rainy. One day the Fog was so thick it was dripping drops of water. It was windy and rainy the whole trip Home. Finn (our GSP) was as normal excited to see us. It took him 20 minutes to calm down enough to get his new Stuffy. A Cow from the Tillamook Creamy named Tilly. Last year when we returned from Lake Tahoe we forgot to bring a new Stuffy. He pouted for several days.

Happy Aloha Friday from windward Oahu. It's currently 76 with a high of 79. Shockingly (not!), it's mostly cloudy with rain forecasted for the afternoon. @slip it's more like winter is here. It's been windy and rainy which makes it nice to open the windows, but it's still humid. DW is with DD and DS while I'm at home. Didn't do much this week outside of work. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Here's a sunset from a few years ago at KoOlina. Google added some effects, but it was also great in person.

Happy Aloha Friday....... It's definitely heading towards winter in the Palm Springs of Washington.

We took the family to a dolphin adventure where everyone played with the dolphins. The rules are different in Mexico. We could actually ride a dolphin if we wanted.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Next week is Thanksgiving and we will be making a Turkey for the first time since moving to Hawaii. We even got a free turkey from Misaki's this year.🤙🏻

This week's picture keeps us here on Molokai and over to the small beach right next to Wavecrest. It's a great spot to just sit and relax while the gentle waves come in.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday, a Great Weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving!!!🤙🏻🌴🌺😎

Happy Aloha Friday!

Hope you're warm wherever you are. We could get weather in the teens next week. I found out that we're closer to the north pole than to the equator. If you stand on home plate at a park just south of us, you'll be standing on the 45th parallel, half way between the north pole and the equator. 😁

Happy Aloha Friday from Salem Oregon. The 45th Parallel North is just North of Salem Oregon. Hobart (one of our favorite places) Tasmania is at about at the 44th Paraellel South. It's Climate is also influenced by the Ocean. So it's weather is very similar to Salem Oregon. At the Farmers' Market you find BlueBerries, Black Berries, etc just like Salem Oregon.

LOL, one of my most memorable sites from Yellowstone National Park is a sign noting the location of the 45th parallel toward the north end of the park. I was amazed to find that we were that far away from the North Pole. Somehow, my brain had thought the equator would be farther away, and the North Pole would be closer to that spot, maybe because I was much more aware of how far we had traveled from the US Gulf Coast to Yellowstone than how far the Gulf Coast is from the equator.

I believe we think of the Globe in correctly. If you look at the Globe most of the land masses are North of the Equator. In fact there are substantial land masses north of the 45° North Parallel. While South of 45° Parallel South there are very few landmasses. So all the land masses in the North weigh the Globe down. So what we think of as up (we call the Northern Hemisphere) is actually down.

Happy Aloha Friday! We are waiting for our cab to the airport for our flight to Kauai! :cheer:
