Happy Aloha Friday

Happy Aloha Friday! In Minnesota it's starting to look like fall. The sumac is turning red and the sandhill cranes are heading south.

Good morning everyone and a Happy Aloha Friday from Coastal Virginia.

Happy Aloha Friday - still in Sicily!!! It has been very, very hot in the 90s (and the “it feels…….much hotter number) each day.

HAF from the NCL Sky, somewhere in the north Atlantic.

Happy Aloha Friday! Would someone like to come to my house and make a Mai Tai? It's been a week....

Happy Aloha Friday!!! It's the last Friday in September and now we move into October. Fall is in the air as our temps will be dropping to the low 80's during the day and the low 70's at night.

This week's picture takes us to Kauai and town of Koloa to Tidepools Restaurant in the Grand Hyatt. It's a great place for a special dinner. There are Thatched roof pods that are over a beautiful Koi pond. It helps make the experience seem more private. It's worth the stop on your next visit.

Enjoy and have a Great Aloha Friday and an Awesome weekend!! shaka

Merriam's was our favorite restaurant in Poipu before COVID, but they must have lost the best of their staff. Tidepools has been excellent before and after. Their food, staff, and relaxing ambiance can't be beat.

Happy Aloha Friday!

Happy Aloha Friday from home sweet home - rain, rain, rain

HAF from the St. Lawrence River near Baie-Comeau, Quebec on the NCL Sky. Two days til the end of the cruise in Quebec City. :)

Happy Aloha Friday!! It's the first Aloha Friday of October. Fall is here and we even saw some pumpkins for sale in the grocery stores here.

For this week's picture we will stay close to home. Well, we will actually stay home. This weeks photo is from the Cabana here at WaveCrest on Molokai. WaveCrest was built in 1975 on just under 6 acres of land. It's a small complex of 128 units in three buildings that are each three stories. The Cabana is a great place to whale watch in the winter and it has great views of Maui, Lanai and Kaho'olawe.

Enjoy and have a Great Aloha Friday and an Awesome weekend!!! shaka

Happy Aloha Friday from an early fall day from Coastal Virginia.

Happy Aloha Friday! It was 91 degrees Sunday, and they had to cancel the popular Twin Cities Marathon. Today it's 44. The Minnesota hardy hibiscus doesn't seem to mind.

Happy Aloha from Northern California where it is still summer: it's supposed to be 94º this weekend!

The upside is that our garden is still producing!

Wow, we have only had a couple days in the 90's here all year. Kaunakakai town is warmer but here on the east side its usually 2 to 4 degrees cooler. shaka

I went to Lowe's and "bought some fall."

We just saw pumpkins at the grocery store this week. Pumpkins those size are $20 each here. :D
$20! Yikes! o_O Last spring I bought 2 seedlings for medium size pumpkins, and one for miniature ones. The miniature ones were in the shade so I only got five. The medium size ones were on the edge of the swamp, and I got a bumper crop. The vines went way out into the swamp grass where they're hard to find, and the deer only ate one of them. My pumpkins now decorate the porches of about a dozen friends and neighbors, but I kept some for myself. They make me smile everytime I look out the back door.

The low is supposed to be in the mid-50’s here this weekend! I can’t wait for the mild/moderate/cool temperatures after a very hot summer.

We're down to our fall lows at night, 72 to 74. In the winter we will hit 68 once in a while. shaka
