Happy Aloha Friday

Happy Aloha Friday !!! We were in Puerto Vallarta for a long while and I brought fishing gear. My great grandson Kai just turned 4 and likes to go fishing. We caught a lot of fish this trip.

I'm not sure why but I was up at 4 am and decided to make a cup of coffee. I noticed the freezing rain. Not a fan of it.

I’m not a fan of being awake at 4am. It sounds awful! :D

I should of said I'm not a fan of waking up at 4 am and freezing rain, lol.

@slip glad to hear power came back on. DW sent me a video (I'm still in Alabama); tons of rain and wind! I don't think I've seen it this bad since 2021, although it reminds me more of the thunderstorm in June of 2019 because in 2021 it was long and steady. Electricity went out in Kaneohe, but, thankfully we have solar with storage so we didn't lose power.
Brought back memories of this thread: https://tugbbs.com/forums/threads/big-time-rain-on-oahu.314021/

Picture below for something other than rain. It's from one of the times we hiked the Pink Pillbox (Puʻu O Hulu) trail with Kaʻena Point in the distance.

Sounds like another round of storms tonight. All the islands got hit pretty hard by this one.🤙🏻

Happy Aloha Friday!!!! February is moving along and the Ground hog says six more weeks of winter but spring is coming.

This week's picture takes us over to Kauai. We took this photo years ago from our lanai at the Pono Kai in Kapaa after a morning rain. We will be headed back in May. It's been a couple years so we are looking forward to our return.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!🤙🏻🌺🌴😎

Happy Aloha Friday from Salem Oregon. It is currently 29°. High today should be about 45°. In 1 week we leave for Australia. One week on Phillip Island and 2 weeks in Melbourne. In Melbourne the temperatures will range from high 70's to low 90's.

80's all week in Tucson! Can't imagine what summer will be like. Glad we will be in Maui for much of it

Happy Aloha Friday from Alabama. The weather has returned to normal as it's currently 66°. I head home this weekend and am looking forward to groundhog day (you know, 85° +/- 5°). I'm also looking forward to getting back to Bellows. It's a great beach located between Lanikai and Waimanalo beaches. There's a public side (open weekends only) and a military side (open daily). It's probably my favorite beach, especially considering it's "crowded" if more than 8 people are on the military side during the week.

Below is a pano from my first visit there in 2017 as well as 2 others from a different visit. I'll post some more pics from Bellows next week.

Happy Aloha Friday !!!! It's been one of those weeks. It's been snowing here and as soon as it's done , if it gets done, I'm firing up the snow blower. If my plans would have worked out we would be in Southern California today where it's in the 80's. Last weekend we took the Jeep to my waterfall. There is water running behind the ice and it's making a hollow surging beautiful sound.

Happy Aloha Friday! I've gotten all my must-dos done and I've got the door open to my screened-in porch at home because it's a beautiful Spring day here--66 degrees and sunny, low humidity.
I love winter in NC, because we'll have an actual winter (maybe not so much with snow, lately) and Spring still comes in February. :)

Happy Aloha Friday from the First Coast! It’s an absolutely bright, beautiful and warm 76 degrees here in St. Augustine. The photo is my view of the lake from my Adirondack chair. Sorry my big feet got in the photo! :D But, if you look really hard in the center of the pic just to the left of the Magnolia tree, and maybe magnify the photo just a little, you can also see the moon in the bright blue sky!

Happy Aloha Friday from Princeville. Our time here has passed so quickly we haven’t had a chance to share much with you.
Kapa’a continues to be a hotspot and Kilauea is exploding.
Saw more humpback whale activity at thelighthouse on Tuesday than we have experienced over the past 16 years on the north shore.

Happy Aloha Saturday! We are at our home in Reno for 10 days where it is sunny and 32º at the moment. There is quite a bit of snow above 6,000 feet, and there were chain controls coming over Echo Summit yesterday, which is about 7,300 feet elevation, but none at our house at 5,000 ft. My husband and I both hit Royals at the casino last night which doesn't happen very often and that was fun. We have the guard hawk on duty this morning.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! We have storms coming through the islands this weekend starting today. Heavy rains expected Sunday into Monday. It's going to be a good weekend to sit at home. Have a Happy Valentines Day!!

This week's picture takes us back to Oahu to Waikiki and to one of the most popular places for lunch and dinner, Dukes. I took this picture four years ago when we went to Dukes right before a storm was coming through for the weekend.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!🤙🏻🌺🌴😎

Happy Aloha Friday. It is 32° F. Yesterday we got a couple of inches of snow. Today we leave for Australia. We originally wanted to go to Seven Mile Beach on Tasmania but there were only single nights available at 10 months. Last night I checked and there were 3 consecutive nights available in the middle of our 2 week stay in Melbourne. I quickly Booked them, flights, and a rental car. We love Tasmania. Also our favorite Distillery (Sullivan's Cove) is only about a 10 minute drive from the Timeshare. So now our itinerary is Phillip Island, Melbourne, Hobart, Melbourne. We will not checkout of Melbourne.

Happy Aloha Friday, everyone! It’s been a beautiful and warm week (80’s) on the first coast, but is turning cooler for the next few days, even dipping to a high of 60 on Monday.

I hope you all have a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Aloha Friday from the windward side of Oahu! Made it back on Sunday. It's currently 71 with a high of 82. Chance of showers this afternoon. As promised last week, here are a couple more pictures from Bellows.

I get Star Wars vibes from the 3rd picture...

Happy Aloha Friday !!! We are on the road again and heading south. It was a slow go because of weather. We made it to one of our favorite Worldmark Resorts which is the Running Y in Klamath Falls. This pic is from the deck.
