If the Vikings were still in the playoffs, and they were still playing in Met Stadium, they'd be playing with a clear sky and -8 degrees that feels like -22. We're actually looking forward to Tuesday when the temp will hit a high of a balmy 3 degrees ABOVE zero. A people wonder why we want to go to Hawaii every year.

I remember those days. I was surprised they took away that advantage and went to an indoor team.

We did the same for years. Get to Hawaii and get some sanity back so we could go back for the last part of winter.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! The mainland is dealing with cold temps and even snow in the deep south. We haven't escaped the bad weather totally. We had lows of 63 a few days this week. Spring is coming.

This week's picture keeps us on Molokai and takes us over to the far East side to the Halawa. This photo was taken from the side of the road and it perfectly shows the Beauty of Halawa Bay.

Happy Aloha Friday from Coastal Virginia. It is still cold @ 18 degrees with a high expect to reach 42 degrees by 2pm; but the snow is gone.

Darn a low 63 degrees is still idea a temperature anytime of the year in Virginia.

Good morning in Hawaii it is only 2:08am in the land of Paradise and with the low temperatures in the sixties. Tuggers it is cold and freezing in Coastal Virginia. LOL to slip.

Happy Aloha Friday. We had snow in Alabama (on the FL border). The forecast was for 2-4 inches, but we got 8!. While I'm dealing with temps in the teens while visiting DD, DW is dealing with temps in the very low 60/high 50s at night on the windward side of Oahu!

Reference the pic: Yes, that's a school bus; no, it wasn't on the streets in the snow (the driver typically parks it there). At times, the snow made it nearly impossible to see the trees in the background.

Happy Aloha Friday! 32 in St. Augustine this morning. We’re going to Orlando next week where it will be around 70. I thought when we moved here we wouldn’t have to go south for the winter!

8 inches of snow in Virginia been everything is close or delayed retail opening between 2 to 3 hours.

Happy Alhoa Friday. We are getting ready to go home. I'm expecting 18 degrees tomorrow night to greet us as we leave the airplane. I will miss our views and the nice weather.

The snow now is a sheet of ice. Secondary Highways & Interstate highways are clear, but neighbors streets are sheets of ice.

Happy Aloha Friday!!!! Big winter storm going through. The rain and winds started on Thursday. Hopefully we don't have too much flooding.

This week's picture keeps us here on Molokai and is the rainy view from our lanai. It just keeps raining. I think we'll be staying home over the weekend until it all passes.

@slip glad to hear power came back on. DW sent me a video (I'm still in Alabama); tons of rain and wind! I don't think I've seen it this bad since 2021, although it reminds me more of the thunderstorm in June of 2019 because in 2021 it was long and steady. Electricity went out in Kaneohe, but, thankfully we have solar with storage so we didn't lose power.

I didn’t really sleep in but I am being lazy. Happy Aloha Friday from Disneyworld! I’m spending a few days here for the Epcot Festival of the Arts. It’s been fun and I’ve eaten way too much, especially desserts. Anyway, the winter weather has finally left us and it’s been beautiful the past few days. The temperature is going up into the low 80’s today so it will be quite warm.

I did sleep in. Got up only 20 minutes ago at 6:45am local. Took Dog out. Took my Diabetes Pills and once a day Insulin. We are raining. First rain in about 3 weeks. Yesterday we tied Record for most consecutive dry days during January in Willametter Valley. Finn did his business quickly.

It was 52 degrees here yesterday. The ice on White Bear Lake, MN is still thick enough to support cars... I hope.
