Hi, I too am a week’s owner at Oasis Lakes-The Fountains in Orlando. I`m a week’s owner had it about 21 years +/- and I`ve just gone on the bluegreen link to give notice to quit. It’s a fixed week so hopefully I can give it back with not much trouble. I`m up-to-date with my maintenance fees and never faulted on a payment. So with the original cost of the buy in they have had loads of money of me. Yes I`ve had some nice holidays but I think its run its course now and wish to end it also I’ve got some server medical problems and its only getting worse. I don’t expect any money back I just want a complete 100% hand back with no ties.

I did finally hear from Bluegreen a few weeks ago. They emailed me forms to electronically sign and return relinquishing all ownership of my points and they said the finalized documents will be sent to me within the next 2 months. Now when I go in the Bluegreen site and try to log in, it says member not found. I didn't have to pay anything either.

I paid off the mortgage today on the BG Timeshare. I want to completely get rid of it. What could be the next best and easy steps for me to take that won't cost me one more cent?

I just had a phone call from Blue Green (I live in the UK) the lady spoke to me about my options and one was about the `Deed Back` this sounds ideal for me so I`m going with this. The lady said paperwork will be in the post may take up to 30 days (as I live in UK) but she said thats the end of paying maintenance fees now. I`ve had the time share for around 22 years +/- so I`ve enjoyed it kids had great holidays in Florida in Jan/Feb (freezing in UK)
So when I send the paperwork back I will let you know the outcome

That was quick just had an email after the phone call it says:-

Thank you for taking time to speak with me today! Per our conversation, I will be closing your case# X#@#'+~'##. I have submitted the request for the Deed back - Deed in Lieu, per your request. You should receive related documentation within approximately 30 business days (it could be longer since you reside in the UK). Once you receive the documentation, please fill it out and send the completed forms back. Should you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call

Well that was quick work I guess because Im a weeks owner has helped. I never fancied the points they really tried to get me to go over but I said no

what I`m seeing/reading if its a weeks owner its easier but a points owner is harder to get rid off. When BG rang me the other day I could not believe how easy ity was to get rid. I thought I was in for an all out trench war but how wrong I was.

pretty unheard of for a resort to contact an owner out of the blue like that? did you contact them originally for more information?

The last payment I made was in Dec` 2021 and cost total $1,262.58 for one week. Its just going crazy now the prices when I started it was around $400 mark. Not to mention for me the hike in Trans-Atlantic flights from the UK. But it was old father time with me ill health was not making it easy.

I hope they deal with your deedback quicker than ours, we sent back the notarized forms back over 2 months ago and still haven't heard anything, mind you Sterling Partners are difficult to get a email reply from but ive not recieved any demands for payment of dues so I guess it must be getting sorted (my bluegreen login no longer works either...just checked) so although I havent had any comms it looks like Im finally rid of the time share.....ps I'm in the UK too

Just had email from Sterling Partners today they have made contact with me and asking me do I want to proceed. So it’s all starting from the legal team now so that’s all looking good. Going by the email it shoud start speeding up now so thats good.

If your place is Oasis Lakes too (The Fountains) I bet seen you around the pool sometime :) I was last there this February so that will be my very last time had it 22 years or thereabouts

Thought I should update you all, its finally sorted. We got email from sterling Partner yesterday that the deedback is completed & we no longer own at The fountains Resort. Its been a long journey but we eventually got there.
Its taken from 2nd November ( initial contact with BG using link on first page of this thread) through to 12th April to get sorted !! Not a quick process by any means but at least I can breath easy now

Congrats!!

Mine's going on over a year now. They keep promising to send the paperwork and they never do. I got a phone call about 6 weeks ago from a someone who supposedly was my dedicated contact person. She gave me her direct #. I've called and left a message on Monday and still no call back or paperwork.

May I ask, were you up to date on your maintenance fees? My dad died in July and my mom had already been trying to get him to get rid of it but he just wasn't ready, then died suddenly. I talked to someone in August and he said because they were still within 90 days of their maintenance fee due date she would have to pay it. I told him that wasnt happening because she wouldnt be using it. So he said another option would be to just let it go and they would send letters but after 120 days she would get a termination letter. It's beyond the 120 days and they are sending collection letters through Pinnacle. Login still works too just can't book anything. Its been paid in full for yrs. Its only the maintenance fees.

First time posting. Went to a BG vacation seminar this past week in Orlando, FL. They wanted $42,000 for 20k points per year. Annual maintaince fee of $1789 with vacation club dues of $154. I didn’t buy anything. Just curious to know how this really works and if people enjoy the company or if they suck. Thanks

Hi just to give an update on my Deed Back with my place at Oasis Lakes (The Fountains) , Florida. I`ve had all the paperwork emailed to me some days ago for the Deed Back. I have had it all legally signed/stamped and witnessed and I have just sent it back today. So I`ve done all my bits my end so I’m near the end and I will not own this time share soon.

When hear more I will post on here. Up to now it’s been quick and easy process

Well posted my Deedback paperwork off all fully signed/stamped it arrived at `Sterling Title Partners` on May 5 as tracked and confirmed by USPS tracking. So now I await for final closure!
