We are between #1 and 2, and plan to stay that way for the duration. Fortunately, we took our annual trip to Hawaii the first 3 weeks of Jan, so we are done with vacations this year. We have another home in Nevada, that we can safely drive to if we want to, but haven't yet. We've made 2 cautious trips to the post office box and the credit union in the last 2 months. We walk for exercise nearly every day, but we live on the edge of town and can walk on the canal banks without coming in close contact with anyone. We carry masks anyway, in case something unexpected comes up. We have groceries, prescriptions and all other supplies delivered. We take all deliveries into the garage first, and wipe everything down on a table out there, before taking it in the house. Produce goes into a fresh bag before it comes in. Our adult kids limit visits and we visit outside wearing masks. No one comes in our house.
*Few more thoughts: I'm giving my husband a "butch" with the clippers today - at his request. I colored my own hair and cut my own bangs last week. I have long hair so the rest of it is fine indefinitely. Due to some insurance changes, I saw all of my doctors at the end of 2019, so I'm caught up on that for awhile. I recently cancelled routine check-ups with my eye doctor and dentist. We're paying our housekeeper not to come. In early Feb, before everything hit, we put a $1,000 deposit down on a pool renovation project, and we decided to go ahead and do it, because we were concerned that the company might go out of business due to the Coronavirus. The workers stayed outside and we stayed inside - we talked to them on the cell phone, when they had questions. Each day after they left, we wiped down the gate handles.
Recently my daughter asked me, "Wouldn't you be mad at yourself if you got the Coronavirus and you knew that you could have been more cautious, but weren't?" - Yes, I would. YMMV
Coronavirus Stats from our county: 621 confirmed cases, 26 deaths.
