3 due to getting the right consonant in 2nd guess, same as @"Roger" . My mother used the word a lot when I was a kid.

I thought of LATHE , but TABLE was the more reasonable guess. It was a 'wash' either way

Took me four because I know nothing about it.

I picked an odd starter, apparently because the coffee had kicked in, and got two letters from HYPER. YIELD moved L in the correct position. At that point, I thought the L would be the last preceded by a double letter. I tried JELLY and found my thinking was amiss. Wow! xxYLE or ExYLx. It took a minute but I finally realized it was STYLE.

Three. A good opening made a two possible, but it would still have taken a lot of luck. I am happy with my three.

I thought the answer would have an 'I', since it was about due. But I had to RINSE and repeat.
Today's garbage day so I went with WASTE, avoiding the obvious beginning ST of word combo. Ok, ok , so ST--- it is. Thought WORDLE would have some unusual letter use, when Y as a vowel and STYLE popped in my mind.

I am a new player to wordle. In the last week, I think I have 5 3's, and 2 4's. I got it in four today......I actually think that was pretty good, given the word.

I’m having cataract surgery this morning so I opened with SIGHT. Found a T and H. THORN got the T in correct position and added an N. I quickly deduced the N had to be the third letter with TH following and TENTH was the wordle. SEE you guys tomorrow!
