Got a LOUSEy start today. (DH's choice today ) Took a long time to come up with 3rd guess, because few regular word endings left.
I was early on considering TENET, but thought no, that's too unusual... TENTH just didn't come to mind.

BLADE (as in laser) got me off to a good start with the B and an E. I thought I might have it with BRIEF but it was not to be. After a minute or two of thought, I came up with BEGET.

I wanted a C word this morning and went with CAMEL. Nailed the A. HARDY nailed the R and Y. I then thought, maybe a RR word and tried TARRY. So, the T is the fourth letter leaving me with xARTY. Let’s PARTY!
