My average 4 after a promising start.
Coulda, shoulda gotten in 3.

My two options for 2nd guess were OASIS and STOIC. I went for the more unusual word. I woulda gotten the C with STOIC. For 3rd guess I came up with DISCO, but doing due diligence came up with more conventional VISOR. Sigh... DH used VISOR before DISCO too.

Two. Like @Sandi Bo , it did not take long after my opening word. Very limited choice as to the first letter and then it was a matter of placing the letter that was in the wrong position.

Four, and a while!
Yes, I SWORE! Got three letters with my starter. Moved those three letters to new positions with POSEY. All three still out of position. Moved all three to new positions with CHEST. Added a T but now all freakin’ four are still out of f**kn position! How the hell can that be? How does a word, that based on 18 months of history isn’t plural, start with an E and end with an S. After much frustration, I finally thought of ETHOS! Damn right I swore! :poop:

I hope everyone realizes my tongue is firmly plant in my cheek when I do these rants. I actually like the hard ones that takes some time. That means I have less time to kill. And less time for honey-do’s! :D

Whew, finally got a 2 after getting four letters in starter word. But it took awhile to find any word that fit. I had to look up the meaning.

I am a cultural dinosaur in this decade, in the eyes of Gen Z. Conventional? Yes. Conforming? Possibly but definitely not to social media.

I never was one much for blogs, tweets (TMI) and posting. Except for here

Three. Which was actually great after a rough start.

Another person checking in with a three. I was down to two possibities that I could think of for my third word differing only with regard to the fourth letter. Chose right.

Curry, curly... curly, curry. Which shoud I choose...

Five, but I’m ok with it.
Aww, FUDGE! An E at the end. That narrows it down. SPIRE seemed appropriate for Sunday morning, but it did nothing. THYME added TH to the equation and I correctly guessed the pattern to be xxTHE. Unfortunately, I guessed LATHE before getting it correct with BATHE.
