SPARK did not sparkle. Only a homeless R. FRUIT wasn’t exactly a lemon, yielding a T and eliminating another space for the R. THROW it away! T an$ R are still looking for the right position. R has to be first and/or last. The METER is running and I finally get TER correct and E is the first letter. Please ENTER the correct Wordle.

I didn't want it to be another -ER ending word, but deliberated a lot between that and the multiple E ending words for my 3rd guess.
So when it looked to be an ER ending answer, I wanted to be as obtuse as WORDLE, LOL.

I often find myself trying to outsmart (guess) the Wordle gods and I’m just nit that smart. Like today, I wanted to open with a Y word. Usually, you would have Y as the last letter, but I was going to be smart and have it as the first letter. YEAST got the Y but it was not the first letter. So, I moved it to the end with IVORY and, of course, that’s where it belonged. I also now had an O looking for a home. After a minute if thinking about various scenarios, I went with JOLLY which was another FOLLY.

And used a burner and a few prayers. I was going to go with FOLLY but thought I should use a burner so I don't ruin my streak (76- my best was 91....trying to beat it)!
Could also have been P or W, thankfully FIGHT got me my F.

Surprisingly, playing separately DH and I came up with the same 2nd and 3rd guesses! How coincidental is that! We started with the same 1st guess by design.

I found it ironic that I opened with STALE and the resulting letters were E, A and T. Staying with the food theme, I tried TREAT and added an R, with everything still out of position. I thought of CATER and WATER and went with CATER. Finally, got the A correct and limited the possibilities enough that I could finally see planet EARTH.
