Three for me.
PANIC only got the P out of position. I thought about going with a word ending in P but decided on SUPER instead. Still didn’t have the P right but did get the E so I had either xPxEx or xxxEP. It took a minute but I finally came up with BLEEP for the BLEEPING answer!

BOSSY quickly came to mind as it's my grand-daughters 5th birthday today. I went for BOSSY only because SASSY wouldn't work (no A). She really isn't bossy (although I've had to remind her who the boss is a few times).

I thought I MIGHT start with a different word but I didn’t. This one found the starting M. Next, I went with MELON to check a couple more vowels and I found an O. MOUSY, MOODY and MOSSY were going through my head and I settled on MOODY. Got the O and Y correct leaving me with MxxSY. It could still be MOSSY or MOUSY and this time I chose correctly.
A lousy FIVE.

Tres! Apropos of nothing, Tres Hombres is my favorite ZZ Top album.
I must have been a little down this morning as the word that popped into my head as I started Wordle was BLEAK. I went with it and uncovered an L and E, both out of position. Has Wordle ever been a palindrome? I don’t remember, but LEVEL, would seem to be a good candidate so I tried it. Nope, but it did get the EL in correct position. Oh, and btw, HOTEL California is my favorite Eagles album.
A lucky three this morning.
