A quick three, also. @Patri, our boards are eerily similar after your first word.
It is very foggy on the lake this morning so the word MOIST popped into my head. And S in fourth position and an M needing a home. I wanted to try M in last position and CHASM was the first word that came to mind. Good word. It added the A in middle position and an H. Now, the M had to go in second position and since no words start with HM, the H had to be last, leaving me with xMASH. I SMASHed it!
We came back home last night from Europe, so still have odd hours for playing WORDLE. Spring has sprung ...the fruit trees are flowering and the daffys are out, tulips soon.
A 4 today....look outside for inspiration.
Starter word because I have an 8:30 appointment. I may be struggling but EARLY was very productive.I thought sure that ALLEY was the solution but it was not to be that easy. However, it let me know L went in first position and with Y last, I just had to get the EA figured out. LEAFY was the only word I thought of. I’m glad I didn’t think of LEAKY until writing this post or I would have probably went with it first. Phew!
Couldn't get letters into position. It seemed to me that guess 4 finally narrowed it down to LEAFY or LEAKY. But what if there was another word I had overlooked?
But what was I thinking? I should have known better than to play LOCHS. Almost continued that silliness with LOCKS, but realized the errs of my ways and went with LOCUS.
So...googled for meaning of LOCUS and I'm sure I was thinking LOCUST and got very lucky, I don't think I've ever seen this word before nor have I used it, ever.
