I’ll join @Patri with a four.
My wife is having cataract surgery this morning so I thought SIGHT would be a good starter. The gods did not see the logic in my choice. Nada. So, I gave up on logic and just went with the first random 5 letter word I thought of. BROAD yielded the middle O along with an R and A. I remembered trying AMORE several months ago and Wordle didn’t accept it. I decided to see if it had been added with some of the recent changes and it has. That got the R in fourth position and relegated the A to fifth position. So, I’m looking for xxORA. After my wife’s surgery, she will be better able to view the beautiful FLORA she has planted and maintains around our home.

I redeemed my zilch from yesterday with a 3 today. I just finished a tour of a palace with motifs all over the place to help remind me of not oft used words. That and a science degree helps ;)

Float would have fit too, but I had to go with the more unusual FLORA.

5 today. I could have gotten it earlier.

After I got the A and I vowels, I was blinded that there maybe yet another vowel lurking. I should have guessed an R earlier, but didn't know how to work it in :(

Three.
After guess 2 the options seemed to be RATIO and TAPIR. I decided that RATIO was more likely.

Four, also.
There was not a ripple on the lake this morning and I was struck by how STILL it was. I don’t like doing double letters with my starter word but I made an exception today. I STILL yielded an I and T out of position. I wanted to try the T on the end and went with MERIT. Instead of the T, that got the I in the correct, fourth position and added an R. Now, It seemed logical the TR would be the first two letters so I went with TRAIN. Hmmm. The only spot left for the T is in the middle and the only spot for the R is first, leaving me with, RATIx. RATIO!

A very quick four.

They have been on somewhat a roll with more frequent words that end with a vowel. Given that, I almost put the "O" at the end of the third line, but decided to go with a more likely placement overall.

Three. Could have been a two, but once again, Wordle chose the wrong word... :D

A lucky 2nd guess helped to get today's in 3.

I was tempted to enter STAFF as my 2nd,
but held off cause if no F then I'd be wasting a letter guess. So the SWAG SWATH got me more correct letters! :)
