Four today
After guess 2, my first thought was FIFTY. But then I paused, and when I thought some more there were a lot more options, such as SIXTY, NIFTY, SILTY. MISTY, LINTY, DIRTY, and a lot of words in the xITTY pattern. So I decided to use FLUNG as an elimination word.

I’m all in with the fives.
I awoke to an AC problem this morning with temps going into the high 80’s. I was able to get someone out quickly this morning and it was a relatively cheap $150 repair. I consider myself LUCKY and that’s how I started Wordle, finding the ending Y. Next, I went with PIETY and found the I and T in correct position. Now, I ran into the same problem as @T_R_Oglodyte too many word possibilities. I thought of WITTY, SIXTY, DITTY, DIRTY, FIFTY, BITTY, NIFTY and MISTY. I decided to use BIRDS (B,D and S) as an elimination word. That eliminated all but WITTY, FIFTY and NIFTY from my list. I then used NIFTY. It would either be correct, or it would eliminate the N in NIFTY or the first T in WITTY. It wasn’t correct but confirmed the F in the middle position, eliminating the first T in WITTY so FIFTY it was.

A well-reasoned, methodical, careful, slow three.
I’m leaving for a trip to an amusement park this week (Epcot Flower & Garden Festival), so I started with AMUSE. The U and S both out of position. I debated moving those letters around to try to find their correct locations or trying 5 new letters. I opted to move them with PUSHY. Still not right but I found two more letters, P and Y, also out of position. I tried to solve it for a couple minutes, to no avail, then had to take a break to do some errands. When I came back, I saw SYRUP, and it made me hungry! And happy!
