Amex Hilton Changes

I think this time the credit posted in 2 days. Last time it took a week.

Mine was also 2 days, and almost like yours: Jan, 27 and 29. My statement closes on the 25th :)

Cheers.

So did mine, that is why I waited until the 26th to make the payment. Kick it down the road another month, lets me spread out the payments a bit better.

I got an credit on my statement on Dec 25. Merry Christmas to me. But I don't know what it was for. Did anyone else get one.

It lists it as below, which I assume means credit for Benefit "Error"

I just got the credit on one of my Aspire cards. Posted yesterday (1/31) but dated 1/8 for $42.67. No clue what the error was.

It’s a pain sometimes.
I suppose one man's pain is another man's pleasure. They can throw me in that $42.67 briar patch as often as they like....

that is a pretty good deal for the Surpass...130k HH + FNC for a $3k spend...

Report back. I’ve considered going but they were doing renovations.
All the Embassy Suites we have stayed at over the last decade need renovations badly ... Mostly west coast. They are way past their heyday. We tend to not go to ES unless we really have to. We've even left after seeing the room we were assigned. Now the omelet bar is nice ... but the old worn out rooms and common areas are rough. It makes me happy to hear they are renovating any ES. It was a great brand back in the day.

We have officially gone with the two Amex Hilton Aspire family strategy. I referred my best friend/DW and should get the 15k HH points referral as far as I know after trying to read all the fine print. Already instantly approved with a card number. 175k HH points sign up bonus. This strategy is worth it with a large Hilton expense on the near horizon. This should also get us two FNC's to use sooner than we expected. Waldorf Astoria here we come ... Costa Rica or Los Cabos Pedregal again??? Now we need to keep track of who spends what, where and when.

Side note - that Clase Azul Reposado is $75 a shot at a hotel bar I was at last weekend.

Be sure to call in every 13 months to get a “retention bonus”. I got 15000 HH points this year (I have a Surpass)
How does that work? Just call & say I'd like a retention bonus? Or do you threaten to leave? Or what?

We have one surpass and two aspires each over here. I need to downgrade the surpass cards but they actually make us $50 USD per year so not in a hurry.
