What is a Hilton Business account? Do the points accrue to a separate account from personal?

I think it has the same Hilton account number may just have some different rates. I haven’t set one up yet so not totally sure.

Please share when you set it up.

LoL...perhaps it has higher rates because business is less price sensitive?

FWIW, With points, timeshares and FNCs we rarely pay cash for a hotel room these days.

You don't actually need either a business website or an email domain (or a business, really). I went ahead and set the Hilton for Business account up in order to qualify for the Hilton credit on my Business Platinum card - the terms for the credit say you qualify once you set up the account and receive an email back from Hilton that it is set up, which I got without filling in a website; I do have an email domain name, but that was an optional item that would restrict access to the account to people using an email account from the domain.

Good to know; my comments were based on a video review of the changes to the card. I don't have a Plat Biz card, and I feel at my limit for cards I want to track and monitor for benefits. The Hilton credit would be nice if I already had the card, but there are not enough other perks to make me want to get the card.

Frankly, I just got it 3 months ago for the 250k member rewards SUB. The Hilton credit argues in favor of keeping it with the $200 airline credit and the 35% MR rebate on flight bookings. If they add another $200 benefit, I'll definitely keep it.

Just paid $50 towards my MFs at The Quin using the Business Platinum card - I'll report back when I get the credit. This is a nice replacement for the Adobe benefit, which now ends on 6/30/25 according to the website - I wasn't using that one anyway. It's a bit better for my usage than the Dell one, also ending 6/30/25 - I had used that one for a couple of little nice to have things but paying MFs is a better option. Hopefully they add another benefit to replace the one of those this doesn't cover.
Got the Hilton credit for my Quin MF payment. Posted once the charge was no longer pending.

I have two Aspires and the 1st half charges that posted on 1/1 were credited on 1/10 on both cards. Neither of the second half charges that posted on 7/1 had credited by 7/17, so I engaged in an online chat with two different reps.

On Card #1, I was told on 7/17 that the charge was eligible for the credit, but I needed to wait 8-12 weeks for the credit. I believe that is still the actually terms of the card, so there is nothing really to fight there.

On Card #2, I was told on 7/17 that the charge was eligible and they would submit a case, which I could check back in on after 7 days. I waited until 8/5 and chatted again. That rep said they had initiated a request to manually issue the credit and I should see it within 5 business days. It posted on 8/6.

I just hate the inconsistency and the need to track these credits and follow up on them. I'll wait until late next month and chat with them again if the credit doesn't post by then.
What is the best strategy to get 2 Hilton Aspire CCs? (? just apply for 2nd Aspire with currently open Aspire or open a Surpass & then PC to Aspire? TY

That would depend on if you are trying to maximize sign up bonuses. If you haven't already got a Surpass or plain Hilton AMEX, you could apply for one, wait a year, and do a PC. Do the math first and figure out if the Surpass will provide as much value for your spending patterns, though.

I have one and my wife has one as well. I upgraded from Surpass (or whatever it was called prior) and she was a new application.

We each have our own (what's not to like about making money on a credit card) and we just each applied for Aspire right out of the gate.

Cheers.

"AS" meaning Alaska Airlines? If so I've been trying to do the same thing and their website gives me an error like invalid security code (tried multiple American Express credit cards on a few different computer platforms).

Any tips on what computer/browser you used would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, AS is the IATA code for Alaska Airlines, And it's simpler than that. They have an error on their site, which I've told them about and they don't seem to care about enough to fix.

While the security code should be the 4 digits on the front of the card, this one wants the 3 digits on the back (like a Visa). Bug on their part, but it should work that way with any browser.

Cheers.

Paid MF's at Valdoro, Elara, Kings Land and the District on 1/2 and 1/3 using two different Aspires and none of them have been credited yet. I'm going to give it a little more time and then chat with AMEX. Last Fall I did the same, and they manually forced it through on one card and made me wait 10-12 weeks on the other. It's such a PIA chasing these credits down.

That is really odd. Our Blvd credited in 2 days for both our Aspires cards and my Surpass. One thing that I did just notice is that the $200 from my wife's didn't get the 14x so I will need to follow up with that. My aspire is the middle one and it did get the 14x.

and the Surpass gave us the appropriate 12x...but credited in 2 days.

I had one recently that did not show the 14X on the list, but when you calculated out my points it was 14X.

No idea when that started happening, but mine was last month.

So it was 14x but just not labeled that way?

I got an credit on my statement on Dec 25. Merry Christmas to me. But I don't know what it was for. Did anyone else get one.

It lists it as below, which I assume means credit for Benefit "Error"

more changes...they are closing the gift card/credit loophole for those who would buy the gift card with the Surpass to get the $50 Hilton credit....like I did last year and then used that card to pay MFs.

I never had good luck getting the gift cards to work for MF and AMEX has terrible customer service when I encountered issues trying to pay so nothing lost.

It worked for me this past year. I bought one to test it and then paid that amount towards MFs using the card.
