Amex Hilton Changes

I'm not really sure what went wrong there. Other than it taking a long time, it seemed to work out. It probably would have taken a long time had they wanted to pay in $50 increments with multiple credit cards. There is a cost of convenience and time when saving money with these kinds of things.

Any DPs for AMEX 14x Aspire at The Modern Waikiki and KBC?

Also Aspire Resort Credits? The Modern and KBC are not listed on Hilton.com (but Surpass would work AFAIK)

another great use of FNCs: college move in day. $600 for a Homewood?

Actually straight points were even better: 50,000.
Also college graduation day. Ames Iowa (Iowa state university) $550 for a Hilton garden inn.

Nice waves. Going for a dip? Wear a long chain attached to the building ... and a neck brace
It’s not that rough in our plunge pool and there’s room to set your drinks. Plus room for a hummingbird bath….

Did a bit of research on the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos; a portion of it was sold as fractional ownership of 5 weeks in 3 or 4 BR villas that could be split up into 5 weeks in a 2 or 3 BR villa and another 5 weeks in a 1 BR casita. They are termed 1/8 fractionals, which leaves plenty of extra weeks for maintenance or rental through the hotel side of things. They were sold as "the resort at Pedrigal" but the website is no longer active. No idea what the fees are but I've seen availability in several of the sizes in ThirdHome and a couple listed for resale on the interests ($450K for one 3 BR and $550K for one 4 BR). They go pretty quickly when they show up there and are generally not very far before check in - I suspect owners do better renting them. Have to try to get one sometime.

We also stayed at the Waldorf Park City resort. We received an upgrade to a spacious two-bedroom bi-level suite. Interestingly, there was an owner living next door. He informed us that he had purchased the property approximately 10 years ago and primarily generates income by renting it out to the hotel throughout the year and stays during the summer.

Was just able to snag 4 nights using our FNCs from Aspire & Surpass cards at the Waldorf Astoria Park City for the week after Christmas.
Hope we score a similar upgrade.
