Shh, I’m trying to break the record for the longest post ever on TUG.The last six posts are very interesting and IMHO belong in their own thread. A bit off the AMEX subject and DP's.

I think there's a long way to go on that. The largest thread so far is 13,000 posts.Shh, I’m trying to break the record for the longest post ever on TUG.

Congrats. Did the referral points show up after signup? Statement close? Or on completion of the spend?AMEX Aspire DP: Just received my 15k HH bonus for referral to my DW. And she got her 175k HH sign up bonus.
We just got them well after application. The first and only purchase was for CL pretty close to opening the account so it was after the qualified spend and well after her spend bonus was posted. Oh and we still haven’t had to pay on a statement yet. Not until May.Congrats. Did the referral points show up after signup? Statement close? Or on completion of the spend?
I wish I had known that last week. Thanks for posting. Also good news, the $79 points reservation fee generated a $50 statement credit on the Surpass card.View attachment 109280
I have had success with the $50 Surpass credit working for HGV reservation fees, Club dues, and Maintenance fees. I am not sure if I have ever tried to use it for point saving, but since everything else HGV-related works, I assume that would trigger it as well. Also good news, the $79 points reservation fee generated a $50 statement credit on the Surpass card.View attachment 109280
The easy answer is no because some (many?) restaurants located inside Hilton properties are independent and don't code as Hilton. Even some that allow room charges. Will a food and drink purchase at any Hilton owned resort/hotel ie Diamond, Bluegreen, Embassy suites work for the $ 50 surpass credit?
Thanks, that's what i suspected. The easy answer is no because some (many?) restaurants located inside Hilton properties are independent and don't code as Hilton. Even some that allow room charges.
The harder answer is figuring out which ones do.
Not at "any". Some do and some don't.Will a food and drink purchase at any Hilton owned resort/hotel ie Diamond, Bluegreen, Embassy suites work for the $ 50 surpass credit?
Thank you Hurnik. Not at "any". Some do and some don't.
In addition to the nice Google Docs that Eric found, I think there's some additional DP over on the flyertalk Hilton forums:
I'm also adding in the Platinum thread as sometimes stuff gets posted there too:Report Hilton hotel restaurants that use hotel's merchant account (no stay). - FlyerTalk Forums
