[2013] Beware Redweek4less / IA Vacations / VP Title / [see new names below][merged]

I have worked with Tochoa25 and liked them as well. One trick is not to bid on what they list as those are often high. They get no bids. Then contact them after and "work something out."

Cheers.
I agree with you! I have bought most of my recent purchases from him.

Here they are again. This is a fraudulent seller:

Looks like this seller is back again but has moved on to a different resort- and an odd choice at that. I never see Villas at Doral for sale. I bid on it since the price was so low; but then I started looking at the seller's feedback and every single feedback says private listing. That's a HUGE red flag to me so I rescinded my bid with eBay after finding this thread as well.

Some listings from them are legitimate, mostly low value ones. The Villas at Doral may or may not be a real listing. The high value ones are 100% scam, like Ko Olina or Newport Coast:

The Villas at Doral listing went for a buck, and now they have listings for Maui Ocean Club and Aruba Surf Club as well.

I won a recent auction of theirs (travel4you5 on eBay) I have cumulatively bought 20+ timeshares on eBay from many different sellers. All have worked out positive, but I've always been on the watch for nonsense. The alarm bella are going off a mile a minute with these guys. The payment requests are odd, the requests for title copies (by me) are ignored or told that they have a POA and they can't give me a copy of the title because that violates the seller's confidentiality. I told them it's nonsense because when that deed gets filed it's a public document.

The fact they only "except" Electronic Check, Money Order, Cashier's Check, or Bank Wire seems like a big red flag. (Yes they actually use the word except in thier current ebay ad for Newport Coast).

Their conduct and comments were so out of line. Their documentation contained many, many errors. Every request for a fix was met with an immediate demand for payment and they'd tell me they've supplied everything. I asked to use a 3rd party escrow and they ignored me. There is no smell test that these guys pass.

If you read ebay reviews of traveo4you5, almost all reviews talked about receiving "cards" from seller. This is not a legitimate timeshare seller. Beware.

Definitely buyer beware! They have moved onto a Ko Olina Beach Club listing that is over $4K! I hope whoever wins this auction doesn't fall for their scam!! Is there someway to report this fraudulent activity to eBay to get them booted off?

So in the last two weeks they have listed a Villas at Doral, Newport Coast, Aruba Surf Club, Maui Ocean Club, and Ko Olina all Platinum weeks at each.

How do you know that these listings don't exist?

Have you notified eBay about these listings?

Just from the experiences that others have reported here from the same seller. I initially bid on the Villas at Doral listing they had last week but when i started looking at the feedback they have (all private listings and all about card sales not timeshares.) that was a red flag to me so i started searching and found this thread. They also don't accept paypal or credit cards- only bank wires; money orders; electronic checks, etc that are very hard to get back from a scammer.

I did find the option to report a seller on eBay and did so. It says due to privacy that you will not be notified of the outcome so who knows if they will do anything about it.

Actually, the biggest warning sign may be that they are doing business out of Sevierville, Tennessee. I think TUG Brian issued a warning some time ago about timeshare scammers operating in that area.......

Back again with 2 more new listings- a Maui Ocean Club & an Aruba Surf Club.

They have moved onto a Ko Olina Beach Club listing

Looks like they relisted the Marriott Ko Olina, and also has a Grand Chateau one ending soon. I have been watching the Grand Chateau, good thing I checked Tug before I bid...

Just retract your bid.

If you don't retract then don't sign any paperwork if you are the winner. Real Estate contracts are NOT binding until placed into writing and signed by all parties....

.
Thanks. Luckily someone overbid me in the last minute :)

Wow they got all kinds of new fraudulent listings from these scammers today!

All Platinum weeks:
2BR Grande Vista
3BR Grande Vista
2BR Grand Chateau
2BR Ocean Pointe
2BR Newport Coast
2BR Ko Olina

If you don't mind me asking, what ever came of this transaction with them? I bid on one of their eBay items and lost, but the original winner never paid, so it's now my turn if I want it.

I paid and got scammed, they never delivered the timeshare.

Who knows? Maybe they make this same offer to every bidder and never transfer the timeshare to anyone. I seem to see the same units being posted over and over again.....
