Ebay should stop their scamming. It's ridiculous that they continually get customers and don't deliver the timeshares as promised.

I have bought so many from ebay, but this scammer has never had anything I bid on, I don't think. I have been purchasing many Marriott and Sheraton weeks with success. I am surprised I have not seen anything I want listed by this company.

Doug Menjivar has some great weeks that I bought. The process takes a little longer with them, but at least I eventually get what I bought. I am hoping the new week I bought through him will have fees paid for 2023. I think the former owner lost her husband, so maybe she will pay the fees as a matter of course. Maybe it will come to me with fees due, which is bad because I won't get any good weeks for 2023, since it's taken a long time to close.

I like Tochoa25 but his prices are high on everything. I bought a few from him and kind of regret the price I paid, but they do close in a timely manner.

I also really like Legacy Timeshares, specifically my favorite seller, Clem Swan.

Of course Buy and Sell Timeshares is a favorite of TUG members, which is Andrew (don't remember his last name) and John Kushman. Just bought a Sheraton from the company and am certain it will close as quickly as Vistana allows it to close.

The one time I bought from Tochoa25, the listed price was high. The item received no bids and closed. Afterward, I contacted them about the item and offered below the eBay price. After a little negotiation, we settled on something a good bit lower. And, as you experienced, the process was smooth.

It seems Tochoa25 has lost faith in the auction process of Ebay. I don't get it. If an item doesn't sell, that just makes more work for him. For the most part, premium weeks on Ebay attract enough buyers to not have to play these games.

Just as a heads up, the scammer on eBay “travel4you5” is back. I asked some questions, asked for estoppels, etc. He never responded to me. I attempted to bid in order to outbid others and then default on the purchase (to keep the scamming down) only to find that he had blocked me from bidding. The only reason I can think of him blocking me is because I was asking to see the estoppels. Good luck everyone.

Week fially closed yesterday. Shadow Ridge puchased 10/2. There are no 2023 weeks available that work for us. The only thing Marriott has for 2023 is a 5/5 guest room and a week 50 master suite. Those are going to be awful deposits. And of course II is going to take time getting the week added.

Wrong thread - your seller is not affiliated with the scammers this thread is about. Those reading your post may assume travel4you5 and other affiliated TN entities are legitimate. They are not - they are scammers.

I won a recent auction of theirs (travel4you5 on eBay) I have cumulatively bought 20+ timeshares on eBay from many different sellers. All have worked out positive, but I've always been on the watch for nonsense. The alarm bella are going off a mile a minute with these guys. The payment requests are odd, the requests for title copies (by me) are ignored or told that they have a POA and they can't give me a copy of the title because that violates the seller's confidentiality. I told them it's nonsense because when that deed gets filed it's a public document.

If you read ebay reviews of traveo4you5, almost all reviews talked about receiving "cards" from seller. This is not a legitimate timeshare seller. Beware.

The fact they only "except" Electronic Check, Money Order, Cashier's Check, or Bank Wire seems like a big red flag. (Yes they actually use the word except in thier current ebay ad for Newport Coast).

Definitely buyer beware! They have moved onto a Ko Olina Beach Club listing that is over $4K! I hope whoever wins this auction doesn't fall for their scam!! Is there someway to report this fraudulent activity to eBay to get them booted off?

So in the last two weeks they have listed a Villas at Doral, Newport Coast, Aruba Surf Club, Maui Ocean Club, and Ko Olina all Platinum weeks at each.

Maybe you can get a good deal on some Pokeman cards to keep his ratings up. Surprised Ebay doesn't shut down. I guess any victims may not know for awhile that they really won't get anything.

Either the State Attorney General in Tennessee or their real estate commissioner needs to step in and investigate, then shut them down. The problem is that not enough people report the scam to these types of entities. Possible that they aren't even in Tennessee either.

AND eBay should change the current timeframe in which to allow feedback on Timeshare (or Real Estate transactions). I believe it currently is 90 days; it should be changed to 6 months.

A lot of these fraud transaction would never occur if people were able to read true the feedback left between month 3 (90 days) and month 6 (presumably the transaction would be completed by that point). Scam transactions would begin showing lots of negative feedback and people would avoid doing business with those dishonest posters.

I was told even a month ago that my paperwork was sent to the county for the deed to be recorded. I’ve been checking the comptroller website and can’t find it and after reading this thread (that I should have read months ago) I can see why. This user is no longer on eBay and of course I can’t get ahold of anyone. Do I have any options to try and get my money back? Thanks for the guidance!

Did you pay with a credit card? If so file a dispute.

It would be too late for that, the max limit is 120 days from the time the charge appears on a statement. It could still be within that, or the credit card company may still be willing to accept the dispute, but this is why these outfits are so successful at the scam. Drag it on as long as they can so they are outside any dispute period.

Get in contact with the Consumer Protection Division of the Atty. General's office of the State in which this occurred and make your case known.

Will it do any good? Who knows, but if they have a stack of ripoffs from the same seller then it won't hurt and should in fact help.

Note; If the transaction occurred outside of the country then I don't believe anything you do will help.
