Vistana Transfer dept phone number (and timeframe)

FWIW...I have never been able to call directly. Best to email since customer service will type a message and send to the same department.

Oops 2-3 months after the deed is recorded and received, which to me is July 2nd. My Sheraton Broadway deed includes an unused Gold Plus week this year. If I miss the last bookable season week 47, is it possible to book whatever is left unbooked in other seasons?

Hello iftravel, I own at Sheraton Broadway Plantation. In my experience, it is generally not possible to reserve (well in advance) a week outside of the float season that you own. However, I believe that any available (un-reserved) weeks that are 60 days or less out from the current date can be reserved outside of the season you own.

Thanks, hope it’s not running into that scenario. And actually my intent was to book a week and deposit into II and not to actually use it.

But also understand that Sheraton controls the deposit so I guess if I am past week 47, I have no luck of depositing into II, even if I can make a reservation for another week. Is my understanding right?

With Vistana you have until December 31st of the use year to deposit into II. It doesn't matter what week you own or can reserve. You don't reserve a week for deposit, you just tell them to deposit.

Oh, is it true? That's a good surprise! And does it still have Flex restriction for late deposit?

I don't believe you can get a Flexchange restricted Vistana deposit. They just provide you with a generic deposit placeholder to use.

Just bought a SDO- EOY -ODD usage and as I'm reading this ( thank you @dioxide45 for showing me this thread) I will need to wait about 4 to 6 months to get this transferred to me, so hopefully by January or February, this will be transferred over to me..
I'm new to Vistana and my transfer (a flex) resale was completed today, purchase- sometime in March, original ROFR around mid may and xfer sent in June so not that bad a turnaround. Not sure if following up via email helped with that, but I did so around 2 weeks ago. Today, after receiving the transfer email, called owner svc, was told my online account would register with the contract # once I add it on Vistana. It doesn't yet and I get "cannot be found" putting in both my C# and SS# so will try again tomorrow before calling back to see if it takes more than a business day to process. I was told however I could book a vacation "immediately" which was nice.

Got email back from titlechanges@mvwc.com and said this:

Please be advised that our current turnaround time is 8 - 10 weeks.

Edit - took exactly 1 day later for everything to load and could start making reservations immediately.

I know they are still saying 8-10 weeks but I had 3 Vistana transfers submitted in May and closed in under 30 days.

Yeah, did you follow up with an email? I know it only takes 10 mins for them to punch your name into the system so if I got lucky, my file was dug out and put on top now.

Yes, that is true. I will sometimes wait until early December to deposit my weeks. This year, I deposited the weeks already that we didn't rent.

I think it's a bad thing, and so does @GrayFal because we used to be able to reserve a summer week and deposit, giving us a chance at better trades. I haven't really noticed a difference, except I do see that this sort of deposit situation is something Marriott doesn't force on week owners in that system, and my Marriott studios get pretty high trading power.

Example would be the one bedrooms at SBR won't pull 2 bedorom inventory at Westin/Sheraton 10-12 months out. The two bedrooms are required to pull that inventory. This is actually a recent downgrade in our trading power of our one bedrooms.

So they take away our ability to book a week for deposit, then we get used to it, kind of like the frog getting boiled slowly, and BAMM, trading power is diminished for the 1 bedrooms.

Inventory that appears within 90-120 days, and there has been a lot lately, has been matching to one bedrooms.

They will email you and the closing company when it is completed. I logged into my Vistana account and they were there ( or were gone) With a mandatory resale it takes about a week before it shows up correctly in your account. At first it will say VSN no and no staroptions or corporate II account number but no need to contact them. It sorts itself out and shows in your II account too.

So they did fetch out my file from the pile and put on top. Just got an email from Vistana Tile Transfer that it’s complete. < 1 week from the email check in and < 4 weeks from they received. What’s next?

Was just able to add ("connect") this week to Vistana website after a day of "welcome email". Called II to add this week to my personal II account. Asked for a renewal promotion and right now they gave another 50 off 5-year plan, so 5 years for 350, and I took it (if you do not renew your plan, you pay $39 to add a week).

This wasn't a mandatory resale?
I had one voluntary SVV Amelia added to my personal account but mandatory will be added to you corporate II account in about a week.

It’s a voluntary. Is the corporate II account linked to Vistana portal for mandatory?

Yes, it is listed on the What I Own page.
But even with the voluntary once my resort was added to personal II account I was able to deposit week via Vistana portal. Easy peasy.

So I just called to add and haven’t been able to deposit it yet (Sheraton Broadway). how do you usually initiate it? From II or from Vistana?

Go to "what I own" on Vistana and see if the II number is showing up - if not, you have to wait until it is confirmed. If you don't see it by next Wednesday Thursday, email Mark the II Tug rep to straighten it out for you.

Once you see it under "what I own" you can deposit online.

I will private message you some screen shots from my account in a little while.
I know you are anxious to get going but it takes a bit of time to get everything in order.

@iftravel
Whether you deposit January 2 or December 30 it's still the same.
It's just generic, not an actual week deposit.
No restrictions in any way.
@rickandcindy23 has had the same experience.

Does this work too with a resale flex? I've been trying to add my 2 resale flex to II (which is voluntary) to II to begin exchanging, but Vistana has been rejecting it when I try to add it there. Mark says that it's due to their being in a recission period, which I believe, but I'm not sure how that makes sense for a resale. My thought was to allow some time and call Vistana/MVC and see if that period is past and maybe they can do something to get it through. Anyone have this happen before. I have my own II account .

BTW, is it weird that Sheraton does this? What if too many people wait till the last day of year to deposit, where can Sheraton find so many weeks to deposit to II?

Mailed 3 transfer of Sheraton Broadway on 7/5, check in the amount of $75 for transfers came out of checking on 7/23. The weeks are out of my account as of yesterday. That is fast. Really about four weeks. This is very recent, so you can pretty much expect the same.
