FWIW...I have never been able to call directly. Best to email since customer service will type a message and send to the same department.
Hello iftravel, I own at Sheraton Broadway Plantation. In my experience, it is generally not possible to reserve (well in advance) a week outside of the float season that you own. However, I believe that any available (un-reserved) weeks that are 60 days or less out from the current date can be reserved outside of the season you own.
With Vistana you have until December 31st of the use year to deposit into II. It doesn't matter what week you own or can reserve. You don't reserve a week for deposit, you just tell them to deposit. Thanks, hope it’s not running into that scenario. And actually my intent was to book a week and deposit into II and not to actually use it.
But also understand that Sheraton controls the deposit so I guess if I am past week 47, I have no luck of depositing into II, even if I can make a reservation for another week. Is my understanding right?
Oh, is it true? That's a good surprise! And does it still have Flex restriction for late deposit? With Vistana you have until December 31st of the use year to deposit into II. It doesn't matter what week you own or can reserve. You don't reserve a week for deposit, you just tell them to deposit.
I don't believe you can get a Flexchange restricted Vistana deposit. They just provide you with a generic deposit placeholder to use.Oh, is it true? That's a good surprise! And does it still have Flex restriction for late deposit?

I'm new to Vistana and my transfer (a flex) resale was completed today, purchase- sometime in March, original ROFR around mid may and xfer sent in June so not that bad a turnaround. Not sure if following up via email helped with that, but I did so around 2 weeks ago. Today, after receiving the transfer email, called owner svc, was told my online account would register with the contract # once I add it on Vistana. It doesn't yet and I get "cannot be found" putting in both my C# and SS# so will try again tomorrow before calling back to see if it takes more than a business day to process. I was told however I could book a vacation "immediately" which was nice.Just bought a SDO- EOY -ODD usage and as I'm reading this ( thank you @dioxide45 for showing me this thread) I will need to wait about 4 to 6 months to get this transferred to me, so hopefully by January or February, this will be transferred over to me..
Edit - took exactly 1 day later for everything to load and could start making reservations immediately.I'm new to Vistana and my transfer (a flex) resale was completed today, purchase- sometime in March, original ROFR around mid may and xfer sent in June so not that bad a turnaround. I know they are still saying 8-10 weeks but I had 3 Vistana transfers submitted in May and closed in under 30 days.Got email back from titlechanges@mvwc.com and said this:
Please be advised that our current turnaround time is 8 - 10 weeks.
Yeah, did you follow up with an email? I know it only takes 10 mins for them to punch your name into the system so if I got lucky, my file was dug out and put on top now.I know they are still saying 8-10 weeks but I had 3 Vistana transfers submitted in May and closed in under 30 days.
Yes, that is true. I will sometimes wait until early December to deposit my weeks. This year, I deposited the weeks already that we didn't rent.Oh, is it true? That's a good surprise! And does it still have Flex restriction for late deposit?
They will email you and the closing company when it is completed. I logged into my Vistana account and they were there ( or were gone) With a mandatory resale it takes about a week before it shows up correctly in your account. At first it will say VSN no and no staroptions or corporate II account number but no need to contact them. It sorts itself out and shows in your II account too.Yeah, did you follow up with an email?
